As an (ex) Hull City fan, an advocate of the David Conn view of contemporary football, and above all a poster on an uncensored tin badge free zone, I feel I have every right to take part in a debate without the blind faith view of some not606/CTWD advocates.

I believe a poster made an analogy to the blind faith of second world war Germany earlier. Hardly an identical anology but blind faith can some times appear as a popular view, yet in the end money will talk on this one and Dr Allem has both that and the record of using it to support his business.

All of it achieved without changing the name. I think we would have less revenue if we did change the name to something silly.
 
Its simples.....its 2014....were the 7th biggest city/FA cup finalists ....economy has taken over football am afraid guys...ALL clubs are a rich mans bragging rights at the next meet.....and being the owner of HCAFC is not to be sniffed at till Roman or the Glazers start on the free punch!

Who wants to go back to "the dark days"? I don't know anybody who wants that. Many are wanting to avoid the dark days which could follow by being thought of as a cartoon football club because of a cartoon name.

He can only answer questions if his cult leader, David Conn, has provided the answers for him first.

Previous to that he was in the cult of 'Sooty', from the Yorkshire Post.

Sad really. He amends his viewpoints to that of whichever journalist is fashionable at the time.

You seem to imply that if somebody voices a contrary view they are censoring the OP. I disagree with that idea.

And people pointed out that in their view the reasons given were not sufficient to change their opinions. Do you think that shouldn't be allowed?

Why should anybody have to choose between the two? Thank him for what he does right and criticise him for what he does wrong. That's my philosophy.

Why resort to lying? OLM didn't accuse you of censorship - he accused you of recommending censorship because you said that people shouldn't offer a contrary view to the OP. OLM didn't say you could leave the board if you voiced similar opinions. He said that you could leave if you didn't like any discussion which is the whole point of the board.

We know he will use his money to support the business despite his claims to the contrary. We are in favour of him increasing the clubs revenue. We don't think that changing the clubs name will increase the clubs revenue. Discussing expansion of the stadium with the council would be a start to increasing the clubs revenue. There have been many other ideas put forward to increase revenue that have so far been ignored.
