This seems to be another rumour originating in a West London blog site without obvious credibility (even less than the tabloids,IMO). I do think there is interest in Fer from what Adams said, but I don't buy this one.

Dave McIntyre of West London Sport is the most 'In The Know' of any QPR journo. What he says certainly has credibility. Not saying it will happen, but there will be something in it.

PS. Karl Henry would be a good signing for a championship squad, he's a good lad & will do a job when called upon.

Fair enough HR, but McIntyre using 'offload Henry' doesn't exactly sing his praises. I could see the R's trying it on, but can't see it working.

I'd keep hold of him, then. You'll be needing him the season after next <laugh>
Plus we need footballers, not thugs <ok>

That's all well and good, but like QPR last season, Norwich are hoping for an immediate return to the PL (Hopefully by playing much better football). Taking on "Championship" players on a 2-4 year contract is not really a great idea unless a profit can be made in the short term, as he probably would be taking up a valuable squad place at the top level.

31 year old Henry? Jokes. Nah, you boys can keep him and his inflated wages. Don't think this will be happening anytime soon.

More like journos making up news stories to fill column space!!!! <laugh>

On a more serious note - excellent article on Hoolahoops on today's EDP website and looks like he'll be a pivotal player in our push to go straight back up. Quote from NA - “His application this summer has been excellent, even to the point of having to be taken off because he showed even in a game like that how much he wants to win. That is not a bad attitude to have,” said Adams. “He is happy. I have spoken to him numerous times, as you do to a player you want to keep and I make no bones about that. I want to keep Wes Hoolahan because I know what he can do. He is playing in a position that suits him, just off and in behind the strikers, but he is versatile. He can play other roles. If you can get the ball to him then he is intelligent and clever enough to get through teams.”

Seems like last season is behind him and he wants to 'right some wrongs' = all we need is other players to feel the same and come next May, we should be in the play-off places MINIMUM!!! <cheers>

i'm no karl henry fan but i'm surprised at the vitriol shown against him. the odd battle-hardened championship warrior often come in useful in this division and we don't have too many of them. as a replacement for fer it would be daft but as an outright signing i think he keeps the ball better than johnson and basically does the same job defensively. i'm not saying i would want him, i think johnson is capable, but is he really that bad? i think he's been underrated by a few

i would take the hoolahan stuff with a pinch of salt as i understand he would still rather leave the club but by playing him regularly, it does give him no reason to moan and i'd rather not see him ply his trade elsewhere!

You may be right, Supers, but IMO his actions show that he wants to stay and fight for his place. He just wasn't getting enough games last year. According to Paddy Davitt he was 'superb' against Bastia and willing to join the scrap as well. I don't think Adams makes these things up. If he says Wes is happy then that is good enough for me. Like every player, he wants to be valued, and he obviously is by Adams.

I see the Daily Star is now saying that Southampton are going to put in an offer for Fer. This is more credible than QPR for me, especially as their manager, Koeman, is Dutch. If they do, it'll depend as always on how much they are offering, but they certainly have the cash in hand.

Seriously, though, they've sold circa £100m worth of talent this summer <yikes>
You can understand a new manager making changes, but why rip the guts out of a team that acquitted themselves handsomely last season?
If they don't strengthen well - and soon, they'll be cannon fodder next season!

You've got a good point, and it is easy to forget that he has had three seasons of solid Prem experience.

I think he would make a decent squad member, but that doesn't alter the fact that he does seem a nasty piece of work (though admittedly it's often better to have them on your own team...) and he didn't play much for QPR last season so query how good he is

i'm not sure they had much choice but to sell to be honest as all the players who have left wanted to, and you can't really blame the players - they've had some cracking moves. and when you consider the vast sums they've received for all these players they've not done too badly and let me tell you, they have another set of academy kids just itching to get in the first team and complimented (if the manager can) with four or five canny signings by koeman (very good appointment by the way) i can see them top half once more. check out jake sinclair (pacy striker), matt targett, left back (just as good as luke shaw in my opinion) and lloyd isgrove, winger/forward (who is full of tricks). i can see all three these boys playing a big part next season.
