I don't want to lose either of them but given the choice I would rather we held on to Redmond. IMO he will rip defences apart in the Championship <ok>

From what NA said after today's match, things seem to be in hand. "On transfers in: nothing imminent. On outs, principally Leroy Fer, still maintains it will take 'big money' to prize him away". So Fer is the only iron in the fire at the moment, then, and 'big money' will be required for anything to happen there. Whatever rumours are bandied about, the reality seems somewhat different.

Well a lot of the rumours also say our valuation of Fer is high. If we can get 8 figures I think we'd do well to sell, otherwise he's more valuable to us playing.

God knows how much Fer is worth, thought he was poor in general last year. Flattered to deceive more than anyone i can remember in a while. Not sure he'll be as big a miss as some people reckon.

First half of the season he was excellent, the southampton game early on in the season he ran everything in the middle was one of the best performances in the middle I've seen in a Norwich shirt. He was very much at his best when playing with Tettey and Howson and both were versatile and dynamic and allowed him to play his best football. Once this partnership was broken we never looked the same in midfield, Johnson seemed to act like and anchor for him. As soon as Johnson won the ball he would need support to play there easy ball to or he could loose it so Fer couldn't roam forwards like he would with Tettey, also when Fer won the ball johnson would rarely have made the run that Tettey and Howson would slowing down counter attacks. I feel this contributed a lot to the disconnect between the strikers and midfield.
Fer is our best midfielder and if he is fit and is played right this season will be a beast.

I don't think we've seen the best of Fer, at least not on a regular basis.
I fear he'll move off to Seville and probably come good, so it's imperative that only happens for a very large fee.
Redmond is one I'd be very disappointed if we sold, I think last year he wasn't ready for the prem but back in the Champ he'll do some real damage.

Some interesting comments from NA re players leaving and possible new signings - “People will see Fer as a Championship player now and perhaps feel they have an opportunity to come and take him off us. We have to do everything we can to keep him here but similar to Robert Snodgrass, if silly money comes in it will be tough. Leroy is an excellent player and we would love to have him in the team.”

Adams revealed City are in no hurry to add a third summer signing following the arrivals of Lewis Grabban and Kyle Lafferty, with the Norwich boss focusing on keeping hold of his key men.

“No, nothing imminent at the minute. We are looking constantly and we are prepared to move if the opportunity presents itself,” he said. “What I would say is the players here who I have spoken to, Wes Hoolahan being one, who many might have felt are ones that could go, are liking it, they are enjoying it and they want to be part of it.”

So from that, I reckon Wes could well stay and be part of the team. Personally, I don't think he's good enough SHOULD we make it back to the PL at the first attempt!!

Wes was never good enough for the Prem. It took a while but eventually most people noticed it. Having said that, he's clearly loyal (our longest serving player) and I hope he helps take us back up. I'm not ready to lose the last member of the Holy Trinity just yet.

Got to say that this is what frustrates me about modern football. It's nigh on impossible to break into the top 7, and when a team comes close to it all their good players are pinches by the 'big boys'.

That's Lambert, Lallana, Shaw, Chambers, Lovren and possibly Schneiderlin as well.

Saints have got a hefty wedge to spend, it'd be interesting to see if they can replace the talent they've lost.

Yeah, absolutely. Look after your own.

I couldn't see us selling for less than £10 million in this market.

Would Saints stump up that amount of money? I think they'd seriously consider it.

The next month will see a huge amount of movement every where.
Some players are only just returning to their clubs from the World Cup, like Fer, so this is when we've got to nip up and hope we don't get raped ! Seems like Cardiff are getting picked off at the moment so I'm just hoping we're not next ?

I really, really hope there is nothing in this <yikes>

http://www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=364614

I seem to remember Henry as an out and out thug, moulded in the style of Kevin Muscat and would be very unhappy if he were to wear the yellow and green. He makes Real Madrid's Pepé look like a pussycat!!
