The second he signs I say we should resubmit our original offer for Alonso. Fiorentina's bluff will have been well and truly called, they've kissed goodbye to their ever increasing asking price They don't need three left backs, Alonso is 3rd choice and 1st choice is their club captain.
Never heard of him so will give the lad a chance. still got a feeling we trying to penny pinch on players.
Very decent as it happens, incredible pace, and covers a hell of a lot of ground back and forward. He's a full Dutch international, and in reality that is all you need to know, as long as we aren't getting our eyes chewed out this is a great buy. Was superb for Vitesse last season.
Being a dutch international means **** all to me. let's see what his like over here. do you no how much his costing?
No mate, trying to find out but there's nothing solid anywhere on that. I think what you can count on with a Dutch internartional is them being decent on the ball, vital for Gus plans.
I think we've baulked at the £5m+ that they wanted for Alonso. So I'd speculate that this will be a £2-3m job. Guesswork mind. If Nads rates him I'm comfortable.
I'd prefer Alonso think he's better overall, but not a huge deal in it mate. van Arnholt's pace could offset that and be a weapon for us.
Van Aanholt would be a good signing. Fast and decent going forward and not too shabby defensively. I remember being disappointed that NUFC didn't try to make his signing permanent after his loan ended.
Never heard of him either. The Dutch league may not be the best, but it's where Suarez came from... Watching this space with interest...
Spotted this on Twitter/ Roker Report. Not too impressive. Getting To Know Patrick Van Anholt http://sbnation.com/e/5700324
