Just seen the latest 'rumour mill' on the EDP website - they reckon Saints are going to up their offer for Redmond. IMO, I hope he stays and creates havoc in the Championship - just as long as he occasionally decides to actually pass the ball to another team member!!! just read this: http://carrowroad.net/cnews/index.php?post=qpr-bid-rejected-for-fer-only-time-now is that the worst norwich city site on the internet? their spelling is abysmal but i can live with that - its the nature of almost every single post. total drivel.
That's awful, I didn't bother checking the archives! Hell bent on making a profit and not spending anything? We've done the opposite so far haven't we? People who criticise the club with nothing to go on but supposition really piss me off!!! (that's quite a rant for me )
Haha, carrowroad.net hey - that old chestnut. It truly is a shocking site and the vast majority of it's content is like this. It really is an embarrassment.
I wonder now Vorm gone to Spurs Swansea will now look at Ruddy? I'm not too concerned as I think we have another good GK in Rudd, but be good having Ruddy experience. Can't see Fer staying, just hope he's not off to QPR.
All of this rumour and speculation about Fer is still only derived from the blog on 'West London Sport' with others just copying and pasting from that. Until there is more substance, I think it's just lazy journalism based on old untrue stories. Similar with the Redmond bids from Southampton and Stoke. Bids may well happen, but I'm not convinced until there's something definite.
I see Pilks is looking to make a 'fresh start' this season - "Norwich City’s Republic of Ireland international Anthony Pilkington aims to make up for lost time after his bit-part role in the Canaries’ struggles last season." Read the full story here - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...resh_start_at_norwich_city_1_3697285#cxrecs_s On his day, he can be a very exciting player (how many remember his goal against ManUre in the 12-13 season??), but he has a tendency to go 'missing' on occasions. Let's hope this is all in the past and he shows the fans what he can really do!!
Staying fit and in good shape would be a tremendous start - poor lad has had injuries of Darren Anderton-esque proportions
Only 10 games for Pilks last year. Surely we can't have as many injuries this year and can push on with some consistency, and Pilks should be a big part in that if he can stay fit.
Overall, I'm very happy with the comments from some players whom I feel will be an integral part of the team if we're to mount a serious challenge for promotion and hope that the nucleus of the team will still be at CR on by the end of the transfer window. My only slight concern is Fer and hopefully, he should command a fee close to £10M. As for the Redmond/Ruddy speculation, I'm quietly confident that it is purely 'lazy journalism' - let's hope I'm right!!
If he has to leave, I'd far rather it be to a well run club like Southampton than that shambolic bunch of WCT misfits on zimmer frames aka QPRcelona http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/35543/?
That still seems to be little more than rumour mongering with the usual cut and paste from other blogs, Cromer. There's just not enough news for 'reporters' to report.
pilks can be a match winner on his own - arguably our best player when fully fit and focused. we need as many of those as we can find
Agree with that Supers. It'd be great to see him get a good season and show the skills we all know he has.
Pilks is properly two footed which is incredibly useful on the wing. Full backs can't force him on to a weak foot like they could with Snodgrass.
