EDP confirm a minor leg injury! http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...rty_set_to_miss_italian_tour_opener_1_3691071 Ooops, wrong thread!
No Dave I don't (that's why I put the question mark! ). I don't think McCormack is worth £11m either. Silly season is upon us!
I know what you're saying Rick, but Borini has played in the prem, scored in the Prem and scored in a Wembly cup final agains the eventual league champions, if you don't think that puts him 3 million plus in front of McCormack then I give up!
Neither are close to being value for money. I'd be most upset if ncfc wasted anything like those fees on these players. Getting £14m for borini is insane. I'd not even have gone as 5!
Does anyone know if there will be updates for the match against Vallée d'Aoste this afternoon? Dave can you do a pre season friendly sticky please?
That's fair enough Dave. It's just that the McCormack fee was ridiculous in the first place. Had it been £5m and £8m for Borini, it would be about right, IMO.
Its a shame that we have to talk about other teams transfers because we are not making any of our own. I suppose the upshot is that it means there arent any outgoings at the moment which can only be a good thing!
I know NA has said he is looking at defensive reinforcements, but I guess now that we are no longer in the PL, it is proving more difficult to recruit players to fight for the cause. As has been said repeatedly, we are really looking to recruit a quality ACM - but not sure who we should be attempting to bring in to bolster the ranks.
Unfortunately JRF, a "quality" acm is not likely to consider joining a championship team. The reality is that we have fallen down the pecking order for really talented players.
Given that Wes looks to be a player reborn and Surman's silky skills have come back into the squad, perhaps the need for an ACM is not as great as it was. Adams has also played Loza in that role or perhaps we can find another young ACM to develop.
This one's a bit leftfield, as we already have Tettey and Bradders. http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/cardiff-and-norwich-keen-to-sign-arsenal-midfielder/?
Would be a definite improvement on both though. I'd be happy with a deal that limits Johnson's playing time.
Yes, I'm afraid that is probably the truth!!! Excellent point RER - I think the championship is more suited to Wes's ability and that defenders in the PL were that much better. Also, I often remember seeing Surman watching the PL away games with us in the pub when he was out injured and who knows what plans NA has for someone to fill that role.
