SUMMER 2K14 Transfer Rumour Thread...

Benzema isn't likely and I don't think its a signing a lot of Arsenal fans would want. We're not really being linked with any striker apart from Remy

Remy would be decent cover and competition.

I dont see a Sturridge, Van Persie or Aguero level goal scorer in your team.

Though if Walcott can stay fit and plays central he could potentially do it.

walcott aint a striker.

also carzorla is supposed to be off.

--------Ramsey---Khedeira------
Walcott-------Ozil------Sanchez
--------------Giroud------------

if you replace walcott with ox at times then really they've a very strong back line so you have to replace giroud with a better player and you've a top team there.

He made 34 appearances in the League for the side that finished 5th, was widely regarded as one of the most exciting young prospects in the game and netted 6 times.........but Noble was patently better. lol.

You calling anyone #bitter, is hugely ironic btw....

Agreed but you don't get points for future potential <doh>

Barkley had 0 (zero) assists. Noble scored 3 and assisted 4. Spectacular goals aren't worth more.

Benzema is great when you're thrashing dross like Honduras but when the going gets tough he strolls about sulking

--------Ramsey---Khedeira------
-Sanchez------Ozil------Cazorla-
--------------Giroud------------

Plus Walcott, Wilshere, Arteta. DAMN!

BUT! It still lacks goals.

That does look tasty. They have goals for the first half of the season, it's once Giroud is burnt out after the turn of year that goals become a issue.

Can Cazorla be off to us?

But he is not a top goal scorer. Arsenal need a goal scorer.

you blokes seen his record at real madrid?
season...... league.........cup...........europe.......totals
................App...GS....App...GS....APP...GS.....APP...GS
2009–10 27 8 1 0 5 1 33 9
2010–11 33 15 7 5 8 6 48 26
2011–12 34 21 7 4 11 7 52 32
2012–13 30 11 10 4 10 5 50 20
2013–14 35 17 6 2 11 5 52 24

so he's not a top goals socrer then....

he's playing support to ronaldo's ego and bale too and so only got 20+ goals every year and over 30 once which btw is what suarez did for us... once.

in 2007/08 get got 31 for lyon too...

ffs lads he's a top player... right krone if you don't want him we'll have him instead on bony <ok>

Top goalscorers in Spain score 30-50 goals a season.

I do like Benzema and wouldnt mind him. We have Sturridge to score. I'd prefer some one more dynamic though.

He is not what Arsenal need.

Napoli paid £34m for Higuain, Arsenal were never going to match that

Get Sami and you lot will be one decent striker away from being a bloody hard to bet against..
Be surprised if Ozil doesn't improve on last season, Sanchez as all the attributes to do great here..

However, I do like what were doing, apart from Lambert, we're signing some quality players, young players that, hopefully Rodgers can mould into a damn decent team now and for the future..

If we can't win it, always prefer the likes of Arsenal to win over the money teams and Untied..

Lambert is quality.

Looks like we're going to miss out on Moreno. Now we're heavily linked with Ben Davies. So, if he's our signing, we'll have to hope Enrique is back to is best and will last a full season, or that BD will step up and play out of his skin. I'm still concerned about our LB situation. Perhaps BR has seen some pre-season brilliance from our academy fullbacks and isn't that concerned. At least . . . I hope that's the case.

ah come on!

top goals socrers in spain do what.. are you confusing messi and ronaldo's egos with real footballers?

1997–98 Christian Vieri 24
1998–99 Raúl 25
1999–2000 Salva Ballesta 27
2000–01 Raúl 24
2001–02 Diego Tristán 20
2002–03 Roy Makaay 29
2003–04 Ronaldo 24
2004–05 Diego Forlán 25
2005–06 Samuel Eto'o 26
2006–07 van Nistelrooy 25
2007–08 Dani Güiza 27
2008–09 Diego Forlán 32
2009–10 Lionel Messi 34
2010–11 Cristiano Ronaldo 34
2011–12 Lionel Messi 50
2012–13 Lionel Messi 32
2013–14 Cristiano Ronaldo 31

so how about soldadfo, negredo, villa, torres and all the rest, costa, falcao. yes the all score goal but to say that benzema is not a top player as messia and ronaldo have driven the scoring charts mad in spain is just plain... well... ah come on!
