    Today's Transfer Rumours

We switch our attention to CSKA Moscow's 23-year-old Georgi Schennikov to solve our left-back problem. A fee of about 7m pounds has been mentioned.

A double raid on Real Madrid has been lined up with Luka Modric and Raphael Varane both targets. Chelsea's midfielder Ramires could be used as a makeweight in the double deal. Although other reports suggest Jose Mourinho has sent a hands off warning to any potential suitors of the Brazilian.

Didier Drogba won't be making a return to the Bridge as he is set to sign a 2 year deal with Juventus.

''They also know that I'm not interested in any Real Madrid player. (Raphael) Varane and (Sami) Khedira? I repeat that I'm not interested in any Madrid player, full stop."

Jose seemingly ruling out a raid on Madrid. Personally I think we may only be Costa and a full back away from the main deals being done.

Lots coming out today about Toni Kroos, that would be well over expectation for me and i would be over the moon if we added him to our ranks.

On the full-back front, really hope we follow up reported interest in Ricardo Rodriguez, looked exceptional yesterday and would only cost us about 12m

Kroos would be a stunning acquisition and really show we mean business next season. Wages would be high but we've of course had Cole, Eto'o and Lampard all go who would have been on mega money. In the last year of his deal so the fee would be reasonable too with the Star quoting 20m. The player seems happy to stay for a year but are Bayern going to let him go for nothing then?

Absolutely DONT want Rooney anywhere near us now to be honest.
He had his chance last summer.
At 28, he wouldnt be worth the £35m+ price tag. We would get 2 decent seasons from him at most.
Costa plays Jose's way and is much younger. And if we are thinking of Rooney as a No 10......we have an abundance of people that can play behind the striker, Hazard, Schurrle, Fabregas.

    So No thanks!

I would absolutely hate it if Rooney came to Chelsea, I breathed a sigh of relief last time when it didn't happen. Personally I don't even think he should be in the England team. Plus his sulking last season was terrible and he put himself before his team. A big NO from me, leave him where he is Jose

Last summer I was open to it.
We needed a striker. But now, with the way our squad is shaping up, we dont need him.
Plus he is now a year older, and is on ridiculous wages now!

Exactly, another woeful World cup, no goals, over blown, overweight & overpriced. Lets hope he stays at the scum for the length of he's career sucking £300,000 out of the daft bastards.

    Latest transfer news

Sami Khedira looks like the next transfer target of Chelsea, with the club looking at getting the German international midfielder for a bargain fee of £15m.

One German international midfielder who looks like he isn't heading to London is Toni Kroos, with most rumours stating he will run down his contract at Bayern Munich to sign for Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2015.

Chelsea have opened negotiations with PSG again over a move for Argentine winger Ezequiel Lavezzi. The 29[year-old could be set for an £18m move as soon as the World Cup finishes.

Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has put midfielder Ramires at the top of his wishlist for the summer, telling Madrid bosses that they should do everything they can to get the Brazilian. A figure of £25m has been talked about.

It seems that Chelsea have slapped a £35m price tag on Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, with most suitors, including Atletico Madrid and Juventus, baulking at the price.

It is also rumoured that Chelsea might let Lukaku join Atletico on loan for next season to help smooth over the transfer of Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis to the Bridge.

On the outs at the club, Jon Obi Mikel(Valencia), Ryan Bertrand (Aston Villa), Fernando Torres(Inter) and out on loan wingers Marko Marin and Victor Moses could all be surplus to requirements and used to bring funds into the club to acquire first team targets.

Schwarzer has signed a 1 year extension. How this effects Cech/Courtois remains to be seen I guess. Maybe he'll be 3rd choice.

I hope its the end of Ramires. Mikel at least has a use in the team as a backup to Matic.

That is up for debate. Very much so. As I said in another topic I believe Rami adds more.

I thought Rami was great the season before last but he was awful last season. A liability too with his poor discipline.

He is decent as a RW and even as a RDM as he offers energy, but as a CM that needs to be able to play with the ball, he is not ideal. Given the choice though Rami>Mikel every day.

    In agreement with Varier tbh.
Would much rather keep Rambo than Obi Wan.
I have a soft spot for Ramires, he has boundless energy and bull headed perseverance.
    Mikel is a lightweight......
