''ARSENAL have released striker Nicklas Bendtner as well as South Korea international Park Chu-Young''

Worth a punt?

Hope he's willing to take a BIG pay cut. Still a better player than most give him credit for. He's not ****, just a lot worse than he thinks. Wouln't he want to be first choice mind?

Some Jealous Celtic fans... the comments section is amusing

The first ever sensible comment I've ever seen posted by a Celtic supporter.

"This all begs the question, can we afford to compete with Hull City? Probably, yes, but we can no more afford to splurge £14m on a couple of players than Hull, who a year ago were reporting debts close to £80m can.

==================================================

Sorry Paul, but 17th place in the EPL for 5 years will see Hull City earn more than a quarter of a BILLION pounds (around £320 million), whilst we will receive around £10 million. It’s simply mathematics – we are nowhere near the power of a Hull City now.
We are now struggling to compete with the Championship. I don’t believe a Hooper would sign now, nor could we afford him. In five years time we will be struggling to compete with Division one.
One day we would all like to hear what the SPFL/CFC solution to this problem is- or are we just accepting we will never be competitive again at the top level in our lifetime?"

Quarter of a billion!!!! Kinell that's why transfers and wages for the players are going to go through the roof. Not that they aren't all ready.

"The Mail suggesting City interested in Espanyol's Mexican centre-half Hector Moreno. Man U and Spurs want him re other reports #hcafc"

In other news, the Spurs insiders reckon that £4m has been agreed for Dawson and it is imminent.

I know we all knew that, but it's nice to hear it getting closer from their end.

i think with Snodgrass / Brady and Elmo we should be about covered in the wingback wing/wide midfield positions .

Do we need to chase Ince ? i'd rather we went for the unlikely Bertrand - but it also seems like Bruce is strengthening his 352/532 more than anything .

so maybe his next target is going to be a tricky johnny foreigner who is good with the ball at his feet to play behind Jong & Lellyvik :)

Don't know if you saw one of my previous posts, but check out Kasper Kusk of Aalborg on youtube, would be a great addition and wouldn't cost that much, looks a real prospect

I've said it before, and it's probably been said lots of times, but £4m is an absolute bargain for a defender of his quality irrespective of age.

Seems pretty nailed on we want a centre half, another winger and most likely a forward if we can offload a bit.

Dawson, Ince and the other names are all good shouts.

Maybe some loan deals and late interest when the dust settles in what's left.

I ink we need another engine in midfield.

Swings and roundabouts, you win some you lose some. That'll make our overall transfer market expenditure look a little more acceptable to some of those getting their knickers in a twist about whether or not we've been fleeced in some of our earlier dealings!

Dawson would be a fantastic acquisition at 4 mill. If he can stay injury free, which has been a problem for him in the last couple of seasons, he, Curtis, and Chessie would be a brilliant back-3. Dawson like Curtis is a real leader and very strong in the air. Praying this one (and Snodgrass) go through. Thankyou West Brom for taking Lescott!!

It wasn't a problem last season, Dawson made 41 appearances for Spurs.
