If Sagbo goes as rumoured and we say sign Bendtner and Ince on frees and Maguire and/or another younger for 4-5 mil combined for the future it doesn't look bad but 16 mil for Livermore and Snodgrass is insane.

And this is the problem for PL clubs like. As more money comes in from TV it just goes straight to players (which I don't disagree with) and agents (which I strongly disagree with of course). Clubs feel like they have to spend it and even lower league clubs rips you off. But when you get relegated the money isn't there and it becomes a big problem. I fear we could be in some serious trouble yet again if we went down this year. Doesn't help when we announce an 'undisclosed club record fee'. Isn't the idea of an undisclosed fee meant to be to keep your cards close to your chest?
I'm confident at the end of this season everyone will be saying how 8 million was actually a great deal.

Like I said months ago I'll be delighted if Snodders signs. Bruce knows his onions and knows what we need to kick on and Snodders fits the bill. Superb end product, excellent from dead ball situations and scores goals. I suppose to some £7 million looks to be a couple of million over the odds but TWT.
I would agree with this, but with the big fixture list ahead, I think this season every penny will be scrimped to prepare us for it, and I think that's probably the right thing to do if we're going to be serious about all competitions, which I bloody well hope we are!
