You can post that Ozil is a failure all you like, but 90% of Arsenal fans are not buying it. We watched every game he played in, and the guy was simply amazing on the ball. He took some time adjusting to our system of play, but if you watched him play and thought he was average then really your opinion on all other football threads is irrelevant, because it is just evidence that you don't know ****. We have people who know football like Mourinho saying the guy is a genius; we have seen it with our own eyes; and you posting that he is average just makes you a bitter ignorant prick.
United fans, please **** off with your analysis of this or that Arsenal player being a failure, stupid silly sad pricks ended up 7th with nothing and want to come yip yapping about Arsenal, seriously do everyone a favour, **** off and crawl back into your little holes.
Don't be so childish. This is a football forum for people to discuss football. There is no rule that says opposition fans can't post on here.Their opinion is as valid as yours.
I respectfully disagree with that. Firstly, it is unlikely that a United fan has watched all of Arsenal's games to see Ozil (or anyone else's) performances over the full 90 minutes of games, every game, so I don't see a United fan's opinion as being as well informed. Secondly, this is the Arsenal section of the forum and by that token, I would say that an Arsenal fan's opinions are "More valid", otherwise why have the forum segregated at all? I would also say that, perhaps more subjectively, stating something without really saying why, is not going to lend weight to an opinion.
He's a clown, Ozil is among the top 5 assist makers in the country in his first season, and he's scored quite a few goals on top of that, so he hasn't been a failure or let down. As OXO said, he's just a bitter prick that's all.
i think we have to have some perspective here. lets review what has happened in our search for a new class stimer. AW had a £25million bid for Higuain accepted by Real Madrid then was gazumped by Napoli who paid £35million. AW didn't rate him worth that much so didn't match it. AW bid £25million for Rooney, Chelsea then bid £30million, United offered Rooney £300k a week and he stayed. [seems a good miss based on this world cup]. AW bid £30million for Suarez, then raised it to £40million+ to match release clause, Liverpool acted like ****s and didn't honour contract, so AW walked away. IMO i honestly believe AW only makes bids for players that he thinks he can actually get, and he has tried to get in a world class striker rather than a make do unheard of French import like he normally does. AW biding £40million for a striker from a rival was not his normal behaviour. AW paying £42million to buy Ozil from Real Madrid is not his normal behaviour. perhaps AW has changed his transfer policy !
Thanks Gooner, i appear to have been mis-read/understood. Nowhere have i said Ozil has failed or even hinted at it, i have said he had a average season which is my opinion only, it is based on his time at Madrid where i actually believe he was one of if not THE best in the world in his possition. I think he was allowed a lot more time in the Spanish league than he will be allowed here but feel he has the ability to adapt and show his class.
The sequence of events at Arsenal has followed exactly what the club have said would happen. That we would be able to buy and compete with the biggest clubs for players on transfers and wages, we've started doing that and I firmly believe that we will pay big money if another player that we want becomes available.
Just checked twitter, the only rumours about Suarez i can see are about him going to Barca or Real EDIT: Some troll has made up some BS rumour that Cym has clearly fallen for.
You're not following the right people I've not fallen for it I'm just reporting a transfer rumour on a transfer rumours thread
Is it @RespectedGunner you've seen ? A lot are saying he's a good source,he apparently called Ozil first last year but I personally think it's a load of ballocks
Yeah, that one. His tweets just seem to read like a total load of bullshit to me, but i'm a cynic. And if he is a bullshitter, then Ozil is the sort of player these attention whore types would go for in an attention seeking tweet. Us actually signing Ozil would have been pure coincidence, no insider knowledge or whatever.
First time I've seen a story with an actual quote in it, so looks like we've gone for the money over Vela: http://metro.co.uk/2014/06/22/antoi...p-about-arsenal-transfer-arrangement-4771461/
