If Balotelli comes at the expense of Campbell then we'd need to make yet ANOTHER signing on top of the ones we already need. Don't get rid of Campbell AW!

If we did manage to get Balo, it would be compelling on how things turn out. Wenger has a very good record with tearaway strikers and problematic characters, and you can't get any worse than Balo. If Wenger gets the best out of him just imagine how many goals he'll bang in. That alone would be a risk worth taking.
Some Italian website was reporting last night that Milan would sell Balotelli for €25/30 million and that negotiations were advanced wth Arsenal. It was in Italian so I translated but that seemed to be the gist <ok>

We have enough Campbell type players (Walcott, OXO, Gnarby) to be honest so the trade would be more than worth while. Add to the fact he is still an unproven EPL player too.

Yeh I read something along those lines today and they even wanted a possible Campbell throw in deal. Not sure how much of that is true but there seems to be interest in Balo. I'd rather have him than Mandukic, as he is similar to Giroud, Balo would offer that bit special up front.

No we've all but got the nonsense f this England shenanigans out of the way I can feel myself being dragged back into the transfer madness! I do feel it unlikely that anything is happening with Mario just yet as, unlike England, Italy are still well in the World Cup. It is a deal which makes a lot of sense as:

We can afford him (not many could)
He's played here (England) before
He's unhappy in Italy
Would be our no.1 striker which is important to him
AC need to sell some players
I want it to happen...

Thing is, Higuain also made a lot of sense and we ballsed that up too. I'd be ecstatic if we signed Mario but I won't count my chickens just yet as we've been stung so many times before.

I know there are some fans who want to slag Arsenal off over the Higuain deal, but as things stood last summer, the club made what should have been a legally binding bid for Suarez which Liverpool ****ed us over on. That said, you would hope Arsenal make sure that they get their man this summer.

Liverpool turned our offer down 5 weeks before deadline day and several days before Higuain moved to Napoli.

No excuse for not getting a striker in.
