Arsenal fans went into meltdown last summer because they believed the Higuain rumours

I think it was more frustration that we hadn't signed anyone rather than just we hadn't signed Higuain... he just happened to be the one to moan about at the time because he was the freshest rumour/failed bid.

No-one will moan about missing out on Balotelli if we sign someone else like Mandzukic.

Everyone will moan about missing out on Balotelli if we sign no-one. But they won't be moaning specifically about Balotelli...

I think the other major bugbear is taking it all the way to the wire. If we got our business done in good time then the majority would be a lot happier, well I would!

When Gazidis met the AST earlier this month he said Arsenal had been working on the Ozil deal for months.I think there is some truth that Levy was playing awkward over Bale to **** us about.

Being linked to Ivanovic who is 'apparently' stalling on a new contract.

Would be ideal IMO. One of the few right backs out there who would be an improvement on Sagna.

I'd still prefer Aurier though Ivanovic would be better for Jenkinson's development

I think Aurier may have a hint of the 'Eboue' about him.

Athletic and great going forward but I think we will make more defensive errors with him in the side.

I would prefer someone a little less raw.

For me Ivanovic would be an inspired signing - Not sure Mourinho would be happy to let him leave though.

The paper reporting the Ivanovich story is the Daily Mail and they seem to think any transfer is very unlikely to happen

Will be good if we can get the RB position sorted out now, then we can concentrate on negotiations for a striker and hopefully a holding midfield player.

Apparently Di Maria says his Real Madrid future is not certain. Would be a marquee coup if we could pull that one off

Am i the only person who would prefer Bony/Remy to Balotelli? I'm still unsure as to why we're after as disruptive a player as Balotelli in the first place, not really a sensible move, seeing as he's failed everywhere he's been.

He has the talent, but it only ever shows in flashes, and when he's not on his game, he's worse than useless. Remy/Biny may not be as talented, but at least they won't destroy squad morale.

I would take Giroud over Balotelli, he actually had better stats then Balotelli last season.

Remy would be a terrible signing.

No worse than pissing £35 mil away on Balotelli. At least Remy would only cost £10 mil tops.

Joel Campbell's agent has said the player will be returning to Arsenal next season.

Looking forward to seeing him at Arsenal. With Theo on the right our flanks could be electrifying this season.

Do you guys think the arrival of Joel Campbell could mean that podolski leaves i would not be surprised if he was off this summer not a lot of game time and definitely none in the position he wants to play in i wouldnt mind if he did leave as i think he is our most overated player
