Well that would be good if it happens. It means we will get some serious transfer activity out the way in good time. No more bloody transfer deadline days!
You're probably right with regards to him playing in our current system. For a team like Chelsea he would work more, but for our type of team where we need more a passer then maybe not. But in the scenario of closing out a game for the last 10 minutes, then he would make a good sub at DM for an extra layer of protection.
According to Paddy Agnew who is TalkSport's Italian football "expert" AC Milan will not let Mario Balotelli join Arsenal.
Ander Herrera: Man Utd set to sign Athletic Bilbao midfielder Manchester United are set to sign £30m-rated Ander Herrera from La Liga club Athletic Bilbao. The Old Trafford club failed in an attempt to buy midfielder Herrera, 24, on transfer deadline day last summer. New United boss Louis van Gaal has revived the deal, which could be completed as early as Tuesday. Herrera, part of Spain's Olympic squad at London 2012, would become Van Gaal's first signing since he replaced David Moyes as manager. Not seen much of him, is he any good? Apart from him being Spanish and they seem to have a conveyor belt of quality midfielders coming out of their country, I have no knowledge of him.
It's not Arsenal per say, he just said he can't see AC selling unless it's a ridiculous offer. Cheap attempt at hits. Which I fell for...
According to a Twitter rumour Marca are saying Arsenal have agreed terms with Alecis Sanchez and are close to agreeing a fee of €27million + add ons with Barcelona
Isn't he a right winger and aren't we already well stocked there? (Walcott, OXO, Gnarby) Although I wouldn't say no to such a top signing, it somehow doesn't make sense, especially when we have more pressing positions to look at. I would not advocate playing players out of position.
Sanchez would be a ****ing brilliant buy. He can play left, right or upfront. He's fast, technically superb and very strong for a small guy. If that's true I will be over the moon. Just the quality of player we need.
Oh aye he's a vicious little sh*t! Would be a fantastic signing and I'd be delighted (though stunned) if we got him. Would certainly be a statement of intent and hopefully attract a few more quality players. After all, who wouldn't want to be up front with Ãzil and Sanchez supplying you?!
Been following him since his Udinese days. Quality player although has hasn't really shone at Barca. Would be happy with him or Reus.
The Metro is saying that Arsenal want to sign Balotelli by July 10th so he can star in the PUMA kit launch.I'm sure they must trawl the internet & social media to find material to make up these rumours
I do find the idea that a sponsor will have any say in signing players laughable! Me too though I think the Reus one even less likely!
If kit sponsors had any say in transfers surely all our players would have worn NIKE boots for the last 20 years.Saying that I don't think it's out of the question that we won't announce any signings until the PUMA deal kicks in being new players are always photographed with the club shirt.
Sanchez is the first rumour that makes sense to me. Players that can play wide are something we really need. As both Podolski and Cazorla in the same game as wingers was really not working, we had no width with them.
The Daily Express is also running the story that PUMA want the Balotelli transfer finalised in time for the new kit launch on July 10th
Despite absolutely no mention of Balotelli from Wenger, I wonder if fans will be up in arms if we don't sign him ? For all we know Wenger might want to steer well clear of him, given his disciplinary record and attitude problems.
