True but Higuain isn't the only scenario where we've missed out, just the most recent. I hate to ever credit Chelsea but when they make a move for a player it seems to be sorted very quickly and efficiently. We've a bare minimum of three players we need, hopefully four to five and not much time either if we're waiting until after the World Cup. Based on previous years I can see my blood pressure rising (again!).
@AgentJim on twitter says that Aurier and Balotelli deals are agreed and will be annouced shortly after/when puma announce new kits. It makes sense if you think about it. If you were Puma, ands just gave a club a load of money in sponsorship. You would want these new big players to only be seen in your branded clothing, not nike stuff. Good to hear that we are interested in quality players and the general consensus seems to be that we will get atleast one big name striker in.
Diego Costa has taken them months - the first contact with Atletico was supposedly in March, according to ESPN. As for Higuain, my guess is that Arsenal baulked at the £34.5m fee that Napoli eventually paid, though it turned out to be the wrong decision.
His twitter is: https://twitter.com/AgentJim_ and he says ''Football Agent back in the day, and I have many contacts/friends who still are. Tweet all Transfer News, and also do prizes, competitions and give aways''. Only just came across him so dont know how reputable he is, but he seems to be quite on the ball from looking back over the last few months. David Ornstein has been ver quite recently in terms of arsenal news.. Shame as he is trustworthy normally.
There are numerous of these so called "agents" on Twitter,IndyKaila being another.Personally I just think they are kids masquerading as agents who are ITK.. I do agree with your previous comment though about no transfers will be announced until the PUMA deal kicks in on July 10th. For what it's worth I think the Aurier transfer is a done deal
Ornstein is reporting for the BBC at the World Cup so won't be doing any transfer rumours for a while.
French Media reporting that terms have been agreed with Aurier, we're just arguing over the price. They want 10 mil Euro's, we only want to pay 8 million.
Going off this season, taught him that he was right all along and should trust his instincts and buy value.
Wait you mean the same Ozil that got 9 assists in the Prem and out top assister in all competitions in his debut season? Bad WUMming try harder.
Not a wind up mate, just looked average after the first 10/12 games. 42.5mill is a lot of money and i don`t believe Arsen would have spent this (on one player) without the pressure he was under. EDIT on one player
I think Wenger has proved time and again that he doesn't just buy because of the pressure from fans. Ozil was a good buy, an expensive one yes. But there you go that is the market as it is after years of being skewed by oil money.
