Is Ehab the business man he portraits to be? I assume his first window dealing with transfers alone would have been this winter when we signed Long and Jelly for around £7m each and Long reportedly earning 55k a week, Is that as shrewd as Thud for £5.25m?

I don't know if there's appearances and goal bonuses involved, but I can tell you with confidence that Long isn't on anything like 55k a week. Our top earner is Jelavic, then Long, then Thudd.

What sort of figures we talking tommy?

Well I don't know the ins and outs of every contract, but one of the blokes that works in finance is a good friend of my dad's and I got chatting to him one night in Nu Bar. He said that the newer signings are obviously the bigger earners (I obviously didn't ask about every player), from what I can remember Jelavic is on about 44k p/w, Long around 40k and Thudd on about 38k. Think the next highest after that (not including Livermore) was McGregor, who's on about 34k. I'd hazard a guess that Aluko's wage went up when they were trying to tie him down.

He also mentioned that one of our youth players is earning more than you'd think. I'd guess at Henderson/Kebbie, as the others are just juniors and didn't look anything like being ready for the first team.

And to think, we were all stressing that Jimmy Bullard was on 45k p/w. And that was just one player...

They've released Henderson havent they? I liked the look of him.

Going to be a big season for Jahraldo and Max Clark too, they need to be involved this year. We've got a young RB who was looking good too but the name escapes me.

Ben Clappison I think you're thinking of.

Brucey likes to bring his youth through, but I don't think any of ours are anywhere near our first team yet. If he's lucky, Clark will get a couple of cup appearances, but I suppose with Europe beckoning we might see a few more. The earlier rounds might be a good place to blood them.

Henderson was released, but I spoke to the man in question back in March, so he was still there.

you do wonder why we arent pushing him on though. He's had call ups for England U16 and U17's. Luke Shaw is only 6 months older and he's had two years in the Premier League, 25 games in his first season and 35 this one.

Wonder if Bruce is looking at young Stevie May, the lad has scored 21 goals this season in the SPFL and has got one tonight against the Dutch U21s. Remembered Bruce saying he was looking at young British talent, fits the bill and would be cheap!

He'll need to get a better haircut to even set foot in the KC, he looks like Justin Hawkins.

In other news, Celtic are monitoring George Boyd as a replacement for the potentially departing James Forrest.

If we buy the quality of Stevie May, we'll be relegated with a record low points total. Not good enough even for the Championship, plus he's a cheat (Scottish Cup Final).

We've got names of 2 potential Hull City transfer targets in our breakfast bulletins tomorrow at 0625, 0725 & 0825. #hcafc

has left the club, he was not offered a contract at the end of the season.

Elliot Kebbie ‏@ElliotKebbie May 11
So we are now stuck at South Milford because of signalling problems at Selby. Going to be late for treatment. #hcafc

There's no way they'd release him for this, surely?

What? He just hasn't had his contract renewed, like Henderson and many others.
