Do you really ask those affected; is that a real commercial principle? Hey, Obadiah, you won't get many more anti the Allams business style than me, but I take each issue on it's merit. There has been a demand, from the supporters, for something to be done for a long time. You've ignored the time constraint and it does play a part. There comes a time when a commercial business must make decisions and implement them - it's inevitable that those affected will see implement as impose; that's unfortunate, but that's the way it is (Hornsby again!). You've offered your thoughts on who should have been consulted, read through and you'll see variations, so, perhaps, a preliminary consultation on who to consult would have been appropriate?

There is a representative supporters group, they call it City Till We Die (incoming!! :emoticon-0121-angry); the fact that Allam will not recognise it is besides the point. They, or any other substantial group, don't have to represent the views of all supporters.

I have no issue with Dutch, although, as his early barbed comment to me showed, he does enjoy raking the coals. I don't know what you mean by the 'other thread'. There was a thread where this was discussed to some extent, but I forget which and, this morning I realised the 'burp' thread was not Carmines, but Dutch's. It was a needless flex of his Moderator muscle, designed to antagonize. You are fairly new on here, so to use a Tickleism, maybe time will tell. In this thread, and remember folk from around the world come on at all stages, the question was clear and unequivocal, it was reasonably answered many times and those who took the trouble to do so were ridiculed. If you read the thread and posts in isolation of anything else then it is blatant.

You speak of posters with axes to grind; do you, as a relatively new poster, stop to wonder why?

I did find the glut of new posts from Dutch and his sidekick amusing in their intention of 'bumping' his embarrassment down the board. <whistle>

You talk as if what you say is fact, when it's simply your opinion based on false assumptions, and in this case as others, you've drawn the wrong conclusions.

As for 'bumping the embarrassment down the board"

1. It's far from MY embarrassment.

2. If you look, my posts are among those keeping it up.

You ask the people affected. A meeting could have been called and people asked their views and where if they wanted to move where they'd like to sit with whom. I would have included those in E4 and E5 as well. Not everybody would have turned up, but those affected would have had the chance to put their views.

There is no representative supporters' group and, for me, less chance of building one after this week.

The business has listened to some of its customers. I don't recall many people calling for E1 to E3 to be moved. Even less demand for change from those that sit/stand there.

I thought DMD's question was fairly easy to understand given the other thread. All I saw him doing was trying to ensure the question didn't get side tracked down a blind alley. As I said earlier a number of replies are just people with an axe to grind against DMD. I genuinely feel he's fair as a moderator. He's entitled to his views, which he puts, but I don't see him misusing his powers, if he has any.

Life will go on, the club has to find a new home for disabled away supporters and chucking out time next season will be interesting.

Again, spot on.

I suspect the club have had to invest more time and effort dealing with unhappy supporters, than would have been spent on consultation.

There are two issues that concern me. The first is that FLAG decided to push/accept (doesn't matter which) for those in E1 to E3 to be moved without consulting them. Just like the club they thought those supporters could be moved around like chess pieces. I'm not sure when the last FLAG meeting was but they ended as far as I remember shortly after the protests started.

The second is that it seems Thompson initiated the whole thing and he's been gone months. The club applied for planning permission and would have held discussions with the council, the police and prepared plans. Yet they didn't take the time to write to those affected. For the second season I'll be doing without programmes, drinks, food and other merchandise from the club. Yes they'll get a bit more from the pass, but that's all.

The other thread I was referring to was "Looks like there's a price hike coming later this week..."

I don't recall any discussion for E1 to E3 to be moved to make way for away supporters. I recall discussion about the North Stand becoming the new Bunkers but not where the away fans would be put.

DMD upset me a long time ago on CI. I acted like a child and took my bat home. I eventually grew up and started posting again. Don't bother asking why you'll not get a reply. I read not606 before joining and I've seen nothing DMD has done that warrants the animosity he gets.

The question was only answered when OLM explained what happened at the FLAG meetings after which DMD stopped asking the question.

Building a strong group to represent supporters involves consulting them as well as representing them. Its an open question whether CTWD will become that group for many of the reasons Omega Man has mentioned in the past.

I have set out why I think the move is flawed. Time will tell if I'm right and whether it improves the atmosphere. The clip Stuart put up shows the size of the task facing us. Its nothing to do with the numbers singing, or where they are, but everything to do with the stamina of the singers, especially when we are losing to poor teams. You don't change that by giving those in the most vocals sections one week to choose between a side view and a singing section behind the goal.

Nick Thompson was also in favour of music after goals, big flags and drums. It could be me, but that doesn't sound like someone with their finger on the pulse of the club.

The other implication is that it's seemingly not a malicious act and the club could claim they consulted fans.

No assumptions are required in judging the nonsense you inflicted on the board last night, it's there in plain sight, despite your usual editorial malpractice.

It's a dynamic board, you have now poked your head from your sorry shell. <ok>

NT didn't really say he wanted goal music. In fact I told him only a few days before that all came out that goal music and drums were strictly off the agenda and he took note of that, then mentioned something about how some like it and some don't on the radio and everyone took that as him wanting it.

What does everyone think about the idea Tickler suggested about having a sticky for everyone to put forward their ideas to OLM and I for upcoming FLAG meetings?

OLM
The club want unreserved seating in the North Stand(along with safe standing when it's legal), the Safety Advisory Group are an obstacle to be overcome, but it's being worked on.

Sorry, you've lost me, there is no goal music on the cards.

There seemingly isn't now, but Nick Thompson was certainly advocating them earlier. <ok>

All I did was just what we do on other threads, pruned it so that both types can have their way. I wanted to know something, now I do and that's enough for me. It's really as simple as that.

The answer (post) he eventually got from OLM was not in response to the question that titled the thread; as you say, Dutch probably knew the answer from the outset, so why not just ask the honest question? The fact he choose to take the long route and employ his usual sarcastic and insulting tone simply pissed folk off and created this ****e. Defend it to your heart's content.

You are pissed off with the actions of the FLAG meetings, but their meetings were minuted and had a sticky on here, so where was the posts that reflected that displeasure then? Is hindsight selective?
Why don't you abandon this discredited thread, do your looking-back properly (<ok>) and start a thread about it, so that reasoned discussion can take place?

CTWD was born on the back of the owners name-change initiative, nothing else; FLAG meetings and seat change plans became a sideshow to that particular Hullabaloo, but you was there, weren't you. I think we all know the problems any supporters group face, under the Allam Regime.

How pompous of you to post such nonsense. How unfortunate that others know the reality as it was a PM discussion that prompted the question.

Trust me, you really don't know me and my motives better than I do and the ****e was created by disruptions like the one you've just posted. Perhaps it wasn't from a FLAG meeting that I know Nick Thompson favoured after goal music and drums? Not that it matters anyway.

Stop trying to second guess or trying to look deeper. You're not up to it, it knacks the threads up and it's boring for the majority of users.

Show me an example.

FFS, all your threads with your pompous, inaccurate assumptions. Your last one will do well enough.

Seriously, knock it on the head, it's pointless and tedious in the extreme.

<whistle> I see what you did there <doh>

What need was there for pruning; did it not fit your agenda? What did you find out that had not previously been on these boards? A simple question.

What agenda ffs? The only agenda's in your mind. As I put before, unfortunately for you, the question stemmed from a chat, so others know the reality. Your pompous guesswork says more about you.

Threads get pruned. These probably won't now because the discussion's over. I found out what I wanted to know, and there's not much more I want to say about it. If you want to keep posting your bizarre conspiracy theories, I guess it'll drag on a bit longer, especially as you seem to favour your fantasy over reality.

As for what I found out, that had me laughing, given the ranting going on because I asked the question. <laugh><laugh>

Dutch you are a laughing stock. You could have manned up said you were pissed/arsey whatever and apologised. Be a man. Carrying it on like you have has lost you all credibility.

Says you. **** all to man up about. A few of you sulked because I moved your posts to a more suitable thread. Made me laugh given you were commenting on a thread relating to seat moves and suggesting I should 'man up', even though I'd said I'd accepted the move, yet then you've bleated on like spoiled brats at having posts moved. <laugh>

Now you've the cheek to ask the very question you were criticising me for asking. <laugh>

Forgive me if I don't take you at all seriously. <ok>

No, the question was a fair one and you got fair answers. The fact that you decided to be high-handed and rude to those who took the trouble to answer you is only a reflection on you. This is your normal method of obscuration, it's sad, pathetic and totally befits you. <ok>

Given you've spent a lot of time trying to say I've asked the wrong question, and your replies didn't fit the actual question I asked and had to have snidey barbs in, I'll treat that last post accordingly. <ok>

As I've said, I asked a question and I've had an answer. You'd think there'd be something set up on the world wide web where people could discuss things like that.

Hey ho. And many people say they don't post because threads get disrupted and people post abuse...I wonder what they mean.
