You like hiding behind the PM trick, don't you, Dutch? You know how to evade questions and to attack, but it's child's play to someone as prone to argument as you are, isn't it, Dutch?

How about backing up some of your claims?

Are you banned from any boards on NOT606?

I'm hiding behind **** all. Why the hell would I?

I asked a question because I was interested in the answer.

You and a couple of others jumped in with silly comments, so were given your own thread as is the norm on here.

I've had an answer to the question. That's all I was after.

The rest of this conspiracy and pseudo ****e is all yours.

If you'd not posted the silly comments, I'd have got the answer and we'd all be saved this mindless drivel. Some of you really need to give your head a shake. You're putting people off posting with this sort of crap.

Treat it as you wish. <doh>

It was the manner of asking.

There can be a problem with threads being disrupted and people posting abuse, but your style of moderation is not the answer. <ok>

    The manner of asking? <laugh>

I posted the question I wanted the answer to. Should I have done drawings or something? <laugh>

You really need to take a deep breath before replying, you're making a proper arse of yourself again.

    Whooaaaa!!

    Come on Dutch, post it!

Where was my silly comment? You gave me nothing; I didn't know the Burp thread existed until mid morning today. You wished me goodnight; don't you recall? <laugh>

So, you are now in the full blown deflection phase. Emperors clothes, Dutch. No insults, no daft comments, just honest observations. Try it some time. G'night.

Deflecting what? Do you exist in some alternative universe?

    Both threads are still here!!

I asked a question, you repeatedly claimed I really should have asked some other question, but anyway, I got an answer to the question I asked.

During that, a few people wanted to talk about something else, so as is the norm I moved the posts so that both sides had a thread for their topic.

Both seem to now be personal attacks on me, but both are still open and both can be read in full should anyone manage to stay awake when reading it.

How on earth any of that fits the half arsed ****e you're coming out with I have no idea.

I do wonder how many of those 'embracing the change' will be as philosophical when they're trying to encourage the diaspora from the north that choose to stay in the East and get lumped in front of them to sit down. Do you reckon they'll embrace the change and stand up to help the atmosphere this is aimed to create?

Interesting response. Yes I was on the CTWD committee. I didn't take much interest in the FLAG meetings, I was reasonably happy in my world, although I contributed on CI threads on atmosphere and thought the South West corner was the best place for away supporters. I didn't realise not606 had discussed moving E1 to E3 to make way for away supporters in the FLAG sticky, or whether those sat in those seats should be asked how they feel.

I don't agree the thread is discredited, whatever that means. DMD asked a question, from the discussion on the Price Hike thread it was fairly clear what he wanted to know, whether some fan groups had asked for the change. The answer when it came was yes, it was discussed ages ago in FLAG meetings. You could be pedantic and ask whether the idea originally came from Thompson or FLAG or a mixture of both but that really would be splitting hairs, in my view.

The important part is that, rather than an act of revenge on the part of Assem Allam the club was trying to accommodate the desires of some fans. Unfortunately they, or FLAG didn't think it desirable to ask the people most concerned, ie those that would be moved for their views.

A bit difficult to reconstruct the tone of the original discussion with the creation of the burp thread but I don't see much evidence of DMD being overly sarcastic or insulting. My reading of that thread shows he received a lot more sarcastic and insulting responses then he gave out. As I said instead of looking at the question they used it as an opportunity to grind their axes.

    Obi,

No supporter group has been consulted on the move directly. Only one would have been consulted and that is the OSC and as far as I am aware there is no suggestion that it has.

Ehab Allam has eluded to the fact that E1 have added to the atmosphere at games and that he see's this as something that he wants to encourage. The Allams may not like the message but they like the stadium to be loud.

Supporters have through various means stated that the club should have a singing/standing section. The club has taken bold steps in regard to this. It has had the safe standing display at the ground and it is something that the club appears to want to proceed with.

The club has made a mistake with the short time it has allowed for ticket purchase, but I do not think that it had any other reason but to have the move sorted before general release.

Sometimes it is easy to see that the club does not have the administrative structure that we imagine it should have. It is at times like now that we see (as in many businesses) that reducing staffing levels can have a profound effect on customer services.

If I had been running this I would have.

Matched current seating with the North Stand and invited Season Passholders to reserve their seats. Those who wished to change into different areas would be given a choice firstly within the North Stand and then just like everyone else, a choice of seats that have been freed up by Passholders not renewing.

I would also introduce a flag section and encouraged the ultra type of celebration. Love it or hate it clubs that have drums and flags are seen as the way to go. I dont want to be part of it at home matches, but don't mind watching others. Although at away matches I do enjoy joining in.

Is starting a thread under somebody else's username permitted?

Is it an abuse of power?

    Is it both?

Or is it simply a ****s trick?

Yep, it's allowed, happens from time to time, so nope, it's not abuse.

The replies since just confirm it was the right thing to do.

How do I go about starting one in somebody else's name then?

Do I need their permission or anything like that?

Or can I just start one whenever I've had one shandy too many and feel like acting like a petulant brat?

    You can't start one.

It's an issue with the system, but if a post's moved too a new a more appropriate thread they shift over in chronological order. The alternative solution's are for such posts to be deleted, or for them not to be made in the first place, but it's preferred that everyone gets an opportunity to speak.

I mentioned earlier, the bulk of board users don't post. When asked, many have said it's due to thread's being interrupted and posters receiving abuse. That's more the issue than the reasons you seem to have decided on.

If this is the outburst for having a post moved to your own thread, I'm relieved you've kept your seat in the ground.

You appear to have no problem starting threads in someone else's name so it's not a system fault, it's more of a fault with who is allowed to do it.

Same applies for deleting of threads.

I've moved seats 4 times in 4 years.

It's really not that scary you know.

Yep, you've said all that before. Your post was moved, in a similar situation, I'll do the same thing again, and no doubt you'll hurl your teddy around again. Ain't life fun?

You're far from the only one that's suggested this. This childish sniping keeps people away from the board.

It's between the devil and the deep blue sea though, because they'll whine if I close it too.

That said, it's the same ****e now, and no doubt will be the next time.
