    Same as last season then?

I'm not trying to justify it (and obvs if it is the same as last season we'll struggle)... I'm just trying to say lets wait and see.

Once again I am seriously underwhelmed by whatever bastard son this club has become under the present board.

Not that I know anything about Bob Peeters, it could be Bob Martins as far as I know but we have a perfectly good manager in place, only for the job to get given away. Which suggest two things

    1. Don't be good at your job and cost the directors an immediate windfall reported at 4 million
    2. RD and his lover are running this club as a franchisee experiment. It might work in Burger King where you can employ minimum wage foreigners to cut costs- but it wont wash at CAFC.

I really miss Slater and Jimi and so many of you made the mistake of thinking the grass as always greener....

Fair play to Roland - only 3 Millwall players have come from Belgium - Christopher Kinet who is still playing, Bob Peeters <laugh> and Pat Van Den Hauwe - imagine if it had been him instead?

As regards to Agent Bob - he did score a 96th minute equaliser for us against Palace <cheers>

Problem was Slater & Jimi didn't have the money to keep going... Running down of contracts, and lack of investment for new players all led to what they wanted to do all along, which was sell...

Well its not looking good is it, I'm going to try and hold off the doom and gloom at least until the welling game. If by that point we don't have the whole manager situation sorted and are playing our youth set up, then...we're doomed.

Does Bob Peeters appointment make it more or less likely that Diego Poyet stays with us next season?

I kinda think everyone missed the point of what they (slats & Jimi) actually were doing.

They were chopping away the dead wood and hangers on. The were good solid businessmen, this club was still paying PL wages to backroom staff, who had helped orchestrate this clubs slide into division 3. I can't see any evidence that shrewd businessmen like Slats and Jimi would let the better players contracts expire and still expect to get a good price for the club as logical? They got rid of a lot of feet under the carpets shat at this club and I will be forever grateful. The only mistake they made was not sacking Powell earlier.

I think what may help us keep Poyet, is some intent on us recruiting quality players...

Where do you think the lad will end up..?

Picture the scene... Diego Poyet will be laying out the sun towels at a 6 star hotel in Dubai this morning. He checks the texts on his phone. He exclaims...

"f******g hell, how can I pass up the chance to be coached by Bob Peeters next season?"

    No ? Me neither.

    Just seen this article/quote:

José Riga, which has managed to keep Charlton, however, is replaced overnight by ... Bob Peeters!

Wednesday, José Riga had yet been Duchâtelet Roland on the line, it felt to want to give a little time to think before making a decision. This means that if Charlton out of trouble in the Premiership now to the general satisfaction fell down from his chair Thursday morning learning the appointment of Bob Peeters at the head of "Addicks. "

"Even if no renewal clause had been expected at the signing of the contract binding me to the London club, which I gladly accepted, I do not imagine for a moment that it stops this way , so brutally. Without bragging on my part, including supporters, we had been very satisfied with the good turn of events and the work I could do in a competition that I had a lot of fun to discover. Now, to know why I have no voice, it remains a total mystery to me. "

Learn to nod more, and don't disregard Roley's "helpful" players Jose... Future Charlton manager should take note...

Bob Peeters has gained some credit for getting the best out of lower quality players, I would guess this is what Roley's prime objective was, because he's worked out by now that his players are nowhere near Championship quality...

Spending money on players that would fit the bill, doesn't seem to be top of his agenda...

Worcester tells me three deals for players will be sewn up by Friday. Two exciting and one not so thrilling.

JR could be heading to Sussex...

    But maybe not...

In so far as being told to "feck off" ?

If the 'pie man' comes in as head coach then there is no role at the club foe Jose...... which is stupidity in my view.
