Just been to the local for a few scoops. Met a couple of young ladies who seemed fairly nice and chatty. Played pool with them both, then darts. One complained that throwing the dart hurt her arm so I told her to switch arms. I then told her friend that I tell all the girls to do that. The one with the sore arm then said if her arm gets tired she uses other things! Nice. <ok>

Got on well with both of them and got their numbers as we all left -- I said we could go out as as group again, as we'd all had fun. Both texted me after they got home, and I've now got dates with both of them (i was well happy when the first texted, ecstatic after the second did!). Both said they didn't want me to mention it to the other as, apparently, they both fancied me (young, hot and clearly blind! <laugh>).

I've pinched my self several times but I'm definitely awake! Great night! Broken hearts can suck it! <cheers>

Call me cynical but this sounds too good to be true. My guess is at least one of them is a nut job out on the prowl for her next victim. (although that could also be said for quite a few people on here :) )


My wee brother used to date a nurse years back when he lived in London. On the face of it she was a lovely girl and she loved him and they moved in together. Things were going great for them but the lovey dovey stuff didn't last and that's when the cracks began to show. She turned out to be a complete barn pot. Things came to a head and he bailed on her and that's when things got very ugly. Turns out she was hooked on Ket and on her days off she used to put her uniform on and go into work and steal drugs to feed her habit.

For years he used to get the odd phone call from her in the early hours shouting abuse down the phone at him, a scary reminder of how close he came to making a mistake.

I missed this thread as have been away but feel that I have some experience in this matter so will offer my advice.

I broke up with my 'girlfriend' in January (three times)

and February (4 times - I love the lead up to valentines.....)

and March (twice)

and April (three times)

and May.....(just once but am winding down for summer....who wants a gf when you can spend the summer in beer gardens?)

one of Marches and May were actually the same girl.....batard beer......

In my 40's and having the time of my life.....

Get on every free dating website you can find and fill yer boots.....

You only live once

I was 23 when I got married (so must be 13 years this August... gosh it feels longer). I'm mostly happy with my wife- which I think is a very good thing after all the centuries we've been together- I think to still like each other after this period of time can only be considered positive.

She actually was the first woman I genuinely fell in love with- never really had a really bad breakup with anyone- a couple got me a little mopey for a few weeks- I remember a couple of girls I dated that I was relieved to be broken up with.


All I can say as someone who got married at an early age... LIVE YOUR LIFE. As I said, I'm mostly happy with my wife- but I wish I had met her 3 or 4 years later. I feel like I missed out a complete stage in my life being married at that age. It is highly possible breaking up with her while your in university is the best thing that could happen... you won't get too close and risk getting tied down too young. (although getting tied can be fun... lol).

When you're an old-old man in your 30's- if you get too attached to someone in your teens or early 20's and stick with her- you'll wish you spent some more time when young unattached.


/ worse for my wife- she was 20 when she married. She missed out on a lot of the single university life and just after.

Bang on Hoke. Play the field at uni, although I was with one for three years in total when there (4 year course). Didn't get married until I was 26, so I didn't miss those years you refer to and they were a top 3 years <laugh>

Get a ****ing grip Johnny <laugh> Vandross is tolerable, but there are far, far better sounds to listen to when stoned - try Steely Dan and Neil Young for starters <ok>

Don't get sucked in. You'll never manage to keep it from each of them. I once regularly shagged the one who ****ed me up's best mate in between the two times I was seeing her. Christine found out straight away, even though we weren't in contact at the time <laugh>

Only two things certain in life. Death and nurses. Christine was a nurse and I've ****ed loads of them <ok>
