The way Pardew said Dowd's account and explanation made out, Phil should never ref again. He incited Ameobi to get sent off, and gave him two yellows for dissent within 10 seconds.

It wasn't a case of dissent by Shola, he was gobsmacked and was merely asking a question.
Hope that's the last we see of dummett, shocking player simply not at the required level and he cannot say he has not had a fair chance because he had and he is keeping a far superior player out in hadeira.

Dowd apparently told Pardew that he gave Ameobi a yellow for dissent, then when Shola said a little more, he went "do you want me to send you off", to which Ameobi said "you're going to send me off?!" and he did... Useless sod. You can clearly see very little in way of actual conversation between the pair, so how he gets a red when when most players sit there whinging and screaming and ranting at refs for ten minutes for a yellow, I don't know.
As I say its just the work of an absolute ****. Dowd will not be missed. Another self serving twat. I gave up with refs when I found out some of them have agents. That is just farcical.
