He is nothing more than a waddling, parade float with a heart condition. May his repugnant face, huge gut and unsightly man tits never disgrace a football field again.

Neither was for violent conduct so should be just a 1 match ban surely. Agree Dummetts should be lifted. Like to think neither will be in our starting 18 for the first 3 games of next season anyway.

Dowd can go down in history as the **** that sent Shola off in his last game for the Toon <hopefully>.

Good riddance to bad rubbish, he won't be missed next season.

Pity that Dowd had such a poor game, handing Pardew yet another smokescreen to hide behind
Rotten end to Sholas career and not the script he would have wanted written, as one can only hope it was his last game. Nothing nasty against him, but it really is the moment to blow the final whistle.

Can't agree with that Geordie lass, without Dowd we might have won at Liverpool. We played well today, especially in the first half. Dowd had an absolute nightmare got lots wrong probably 80% of the wrong decision went against us.

Gary Lineker ‏@GaryLineker 5h
The straight red given to Paul Dummett was a rubbish decision by Phil Dowd.

we'll see if MotD pulls Dowd apart or kisses the arse Like Robbie Savage

How are pundits allowed to criticise refs, but manager's get fines and bans for being honest???

Anyway, didn't watch the game, have no intention or interest in finding out whether or not these debatable decisions were fair or not, I just want to say what an utterly poor ref Phil Dowd has been over his career. An embarrassment to this country and it's refereeing pedigree.

Pundits aren't involved in the game and therefore cannot bring it into disrepute.

Dowd's performance was a ****ing disgrace and it was surely the fat ****'s last. Neither was a red (although I don't know what Shole uttered to him).

I used to think referees should be protected but the more shocking, game spoiling decisions I see make me feel they should be as culpable as players for their errors.

Scratch that. I accidentally watched it. Dummett was an absolute cockend and deserves a punch in the face, he gave the ref an excuse. The WTF moment was the Shola red. ****ING RIDICULOUS.

How though? Gary Linekar is more visible to millions of people in this country than Mourinho, because not everyone has sky. The majority have the internet and a TV licence however, and MOTD gets massive viewing figures. An ex-player should be as culpable for his words as a manager, or neither should be culpable, preferably the latter.

It is ridiculous how many massive errors there are in games every weekend, and I've always said do the worst three go down, or the three unluckiest?
