I think you'll find the talk was about getting behind the team in general. Not any endorsement of WHAT Hughton was trying to do.
Sorry, its the performances that turn the fans, not the other way round.
It should read poor managerial choices and concept led to poor performances on the pitch which led to poor points tally and finally poor support (and in all likelihood this included the players) which was the final peice of the jigsaw.
The fans turning was the straw that broke the camels back.
Certainly poor performances on the pitch can lead to discontented fans, but continued discontentment from the stands does nothing to help change fortunes on the pitch, so as on previous occasions we must agree to disagree.
So, nail on head, should / could have been over to you Chris Hughton, to maybe try a different tack, one not so predictable and glaringly obvious to any opponent.
So strangely then, we do agree,
the manager, the players and the fans, have all been in part, responsible for the situation we find ourselves in.
The hypocrisy of some supporters on here in incredible - assuming their grossly over-exaggerated opinions about Hughton's management style were correct, and they are not, then as Neil Adams is guilty of many of the same mistakes Hughton made if I went to Carrow Road and hurled abuse at the players and Adams it would be ok?

But quite honestly carrabuh, it makes no difference who is perceived as starting things, that´s like saying two wrongs make a right, they don´t, all parties should pull together to try and improve things, and some of the home supporters have fallen short of that.
The buck stops at the board and the manager IMO, football is an entertainment business and like any other business if you dont produce the goods dont expect the paying customers to keep coming back and singing your praises, the supporters have every right to complain when they are the paying customers paying their wages, its up to the management to get their affairs in order.
Football may be an "entertainment business" but surely as a sport it is about winning? (certainly at this level). Financially it is also worth far more to a club to be winning matches instead of playing pretty football. I agree it is much more enjoyable to watch entertaining football (depends on what you regard as entertainment) but no fans would be happy if the results were poor however good the football may be.
the problem is in the end we were not getting either and that sealed his fate, i think the fans put up with the lack of entertainment to a point (i certainly was happy to just stay up), but once the results stopped and it was clear we where going to struggle that was enough for the fans and the board had to act. The board should have recognised sooner that CH had lost the dressing room a long time ago, they ultimately have more to answer than the fans IMO.
Very true, why do some fans think we should be happy and cheering when the results have been so poor?, if the manager produces dross on the pitch you can hardly expect the fans to keep cheering, they're only human after all.
I don´t think anyone´s suggesting you should be happy, I´m certainly not, and I´m not happy myself, but when the results are poor, moaning, jeering and booing will only make them poorer, when support for the team and manager might just make them better. Clearly illustrated in the last home game, where the performance was as much down to the fans for supporting, as it was down to Adams and the players.
The issue RBF is that we played dull uninspiring football which caused the fans to turn. Even if the fans pulled together and we got back to that point it's still not good enough.
Fans would be just as unhappy if they are not winning but playing entertaining football. Would you prefer good results or good entertainment? Everyone wants both.
Surely that is pure speculation? People were not happy because they perceived the football to be boring from minute one. Surely to have an opinion on results you have to wait for a few games to pass and many fans didn't. That is fine if people are genuinely only after entertainment. But of course they clearly won't be happy unless they win as well. The game against Liverpool was more entertaining, but would you be happy with 5, 3-2 losses in a row?
Everyone wants everything nowadays, not just in terms of football but in life in general. We've all become so demanding, wanting what we want when we want it.
I'm just as guilty as anyone, swearing and cursing when a web-page takes 15 seconds to load, or if a taxi driver is a few minutes late - sometimes I take a step back and think "what the hell am I moaning about?", and then I think of something else to moan about and carry on with my day....

Computers can be the most annoying things in the world! But football is up there. It does to a large extent reflect society, but only one team can win a league which often means many are left unhappy. A club like us must be realistic, we don't have the finances to be world beaters and lower prem is about as high as we are likely to sustain for any period of time. This does not mean we can't strive for entertaining football, but you must have a balance between entertainment and effectiveness. Unless of course people are happy going for it even if we lose lots of matches. In my opinion sport at that level is about the competition and winning, certainly if you are playing.
