Given that it is so important couldn't they have: (a) used an independent third party, (b) sent out ballot papers in the post, and (c) requested ballot papers be returned through the post to the independent third party
right, I've had a beer and a complete bottle of rosé.. whilst preparing my Turkish köfte for my soirée tomorrow.. time for a coffee and bed..
I'm not a member of CTWD however I believe our name should remain Hull City. The Allams have made themselves look ridiculous with the 3 options they are asking season ticket holders to choose from The issue has never been about the ownership of the club. THE issue has been about the name of the club. For the ownership of the club to be included in a yes option is plain daft. I have no issues with them not including ownership in the no option but it should be a clear yes or no about the name or a not bothered either way. They have taken this spat with the city council way too far and are now starting to look plain stupid If I was still a season holder I'd vote no. I support Hull City through thick and thin - to this day my favourite match is Brentford away in div 4 - we won 2-0 with a rousing chant of 'we are 91st, I said we are 91st' - whichever league we are in, whatever our finances are, I'll support City The Allams have made it personal when it shouldn't be about them or CTWD or anything other than what do the fans what their club to be called
CTWD's request for a poll of season pass holders, issued last November, clearly stated that the form would include a section advocating the name change and written by Dr Allam. So yes, you did miss something.
I've been watching all this from affair, holding the opinion, despite the rhetoric that was being thrown around, that the Allams were basically good people, with the club's interest at heart, but with a misplaced business concept of changing the name of the club. After the wording of this ballot, I can't help thinking that they have indeed lost the plot, showing a deep-seated arrogance and a contempt for the wishes of the majority of the club's stakeholders. As I feel they won't wish to lose face by backing down now and have created a gulf in trust at the heart of the club, the best option would be for them to sell up, notwithstanding the short-term impact on the club's fortunes. Such a shame really, when on the pitch this has been the most successful period and exciting period in the club's history. Alas the last bridge has been burnt.
None of the CTWD committee have received the ballott email yet. I'm sure it's just an oversight and we'll get it shortly.
They'll get a vote for each seat they own, so up to twelve votes for a box, but I doubt anyone has more than that and most of the corporate seats have the same people in them every week, so they'll just vote like any other season ticket holder.
No OLM its all a conspiracy. They're out to get you. Please make sure you post regular updates on this matter too, and make sure you whine about it a lot too. Please encourage your fellow committee members to do the same. Wait, what's that behind you? Oh its the 20k who will be voting for Option 3!! What's that? You didn't get to vote, so can assume theres another 20001 that couldn't vote no too?! FIX!!!! Haha.
Based on how this ballot has been handled so far, I'm expecting a 143% turnout, with 100% of them in favour of a name change and CTWD committee members semi-final tickets to get lost in the post.
Oh sorry, you mean you haven't realised yet how the Allams are empowering the 20k and that they won't be voting No? Actually, lets suppose there are a massive amount of votes for option 3, where does that leave CTWD? Seems a bit off for you to be claiming to representing all the fans of the club, along with the rest of the country too, when...it will be obvious that you don't. Once its clearly obvious you represent a minority, will you stand down? If not, why would you expect Dr Allam to?
I haven't read all 11 pages of this, but are the votes ballot papers anonymous or do they have some kind of season ticket related reference number? I honestly feel that if they do and that ballot shows a no vote, then our owners will take some kind of retribution against said season ticket holder. Even if this isn't the case, doesn't it say everything about our current situation that I think that would happen?
Really hurts not being able to control and manipulate it to suit your agenda doesn't it? Don't worry, Im sure all the people who signed the petition you like waving around like a battle standard will vote no. Ah yeah, no, no they won't. Btw yes, I am enjoying this.
The choice on the ballot form is simple. The free ride into the PL is over. Either support the owner or lose his funding. Forget exit planning and financial loss, look at this as the free fall element in the roller coaster ride. We are about to enter the final stages of Assem Allams funding of the club. Victory, there are no winners in this battle. In the future could it be that Assem Allam will be considered to be the devil incarnate. But when he is gone and the club is milked for all of its worth by the next generation of owners. When we are back to square one, facing uncertainty as Hull City has done so many times in the past, watch as the blame merchants turn on the CTWD. Take note when the FA allow another club to change its name. What happens when as in so many sports, club names are changed simply for marketing with no historic links. What would really have happened if as part off Portsmouths rescue plan they had lined up an investment deal that required them to change the name to Portsmouth Tigers? In five years time will we look back and think "Oh we got it wrong". When I said the choice is simple, is it really that simple......... By the way please remember that this is a forum. I am expressing a debating point and not my personal view.
You seriously think this should be an anonymous poll...of season ticket holders? There are wild claims of fixing and corruption, yet the single control that guarantees that the voices of the actual season ticket holders and ONLY them will be heard you think is wrong? Given the tactics being employed by CTWD who will come out of this with barely any credibility left, the absolute worst thing you could do for a genuine and properly representative poll of the season ticket holders would be to make it anonymous. Stop with the retribution bollocks too, thats the sort of crap that reflects badly on you and CTWD and displays childish levels of paranoia. The bogeyman is not under your bed nor is he coming to get you. Leaving aside the DPA and the rules governing this type of thing, it really is pathetic to even suggest it.
Haven't received the Email yet? Neither have I and I'm definitely not a CTWD "committee" member. What does THAT tell you? Oh yeah, nothing. What I did do though is use my initiative and go to the website and do it myself! It's amazing what you can do if you put your mind to it...
