I believe that if this story had any real grounding and there was any solid proof of these alleged quotes, that national newspapers would've been all over it.

Funny thing is he was probably better last season. Can't really see Arsenal being that interested in Morgan right now.

 

Arsenal have loads of CMs. They need a 30-a-season striker and a winger more, which should take up most of their transfer budget.

 

Normally if someone uses actual quotes, it means they've not pulled it out of their arse. Who knows, though.

It sounded great up until that last line about Arsenal. I'm hoping it is badly translated as otherwise it's a bit of an insult to Saints.

 

Don't think it is a mistranslation as the next line suggests it may be a problem if the English media get hold of it. One of those things players may think, but better not to say out loud.

 

Krueger says he has to sign off on transfers above a certain value (wonder what that is). Obviously means that the transfer committee have more power than we thought...unless the cut off is £1.75 of course

Metro reporting Chelsea are lining up a £5million bid for Sam Gallagher.

This thinking implies that whatever Chelsea and Manchester City want, they get. The fact is, Shaw is under contract, we don't want to sell him, he has shown no desire to leave and we don't need the money.

So if Man City or Chelsea want an Englishman in their squad, they should grow their own!

I know, it's embarrassing isn't it. We got 15million for a midfielder in league one. Strikers are more expensive and we are a top half premier league side now, 5million wouldn't come close.

 

Sam is in our first team and looking promising...don't think we will be in a hurry to sell him when he can only command peanuts at the moment. How much would we have to pay for a replacement...we may have promising players in the Academy, but this is a young lad who has just made it to the first team. What message would that give the younger players?
