So you think happy, .... , patty for example genuinely believe the bollocks they spout? Don't they all also seem to disagree with particular posters about just about anything? I suspect if you, and certain other posters, were pro name change, most of the current pro name change lot would be anti. As soon as this whole catastrophe is over, it'll just be something else to pick fights over, like it was before.
The campaign has a primary objective to prevent the name-change. How that is done is decided by the campaign committee, who, I would hope, will listen to the voice of campaign members and non-members alike; as I am a member I reserve the right to offer a view on how the campaign is conducted. It is a stupid comment to suggest that anyone with alternative ideas should set up seperate groups, as it is usually more effective to stay with the core belief and offer a view that might or might not influence the collective action. I have supported the campaign on here and elsewhere, I have paid my membership and added a donation (more will be added if required), I have my scarf and badge, so you can poke your advice where you clearly keep your brains. The primary objective is all but achieved, with the exception of the divisive vote and the final FA decision. But what next? Will the signage and insignia return to its original format? Will AFC be accepted back? Will there be club / supporter liaison that is acceptable? Will the owners sell us to some Mickey-mouse owner who presents further challenges? Why do you want to offer a liar and blackmailer some semblance of dignity? Their whole name-change campaign is built on a lie, so why not make that lie a feature of the opposition against them. Why not ensure everyone who votes in their poll understands their real reason for the name-change. I'm not spoiling for a fight, as it's been going on for a while now; where have you been?
Just a question.nonce the whole things done and dusted, what will happen to the CTWD group, if it will come to an abrupt end what about all the coin raised from membership subscription, donation, merchandise etc? I'd suggest sticking it in the club, or a tiger preservation charity. That's if it's the end of the group of course, I know it's been discussed previously but I forgot.
The CTWD group as it currently exists will cease to be, many of the members only joined to fight the name change and have no interest in being involved beyond that. Others think that we've achieved a lot and should continue in some capacity, exactly what shape that organisation takes will be decided by it's new committee, which will be appointed at the upcoming AGM(details of which will be posted shortly and any member is welcome to stand for a post on that committee). There is obviously a long term aim of merging the membership with the Tigers Co-Op to form a rejuvenated supporters trust, but that's a decision for the respective members to take. I don't expect there to be money left at the end of the campaign, we will use up what we have left with the #VoteNoToHullTigers campaign over the next week or so.
Hull City to be renamed Hull Dildoes HULL City owner Assem Allam plans a dildo-themed rebrand for the club, it has emerged. please log in to view this image After supporters rejected ‘Hull Tigers’ on the basis they aren’t an ice hockey team, the Hull Dildoes was suggested on the basis the fans can go **** themselves. Allam said: “The new crest will be three gleaming synthetic dongs pointing heavenwards, and our shirt sponsors will be Ann Summers. “I previously suggested I would walk away from the club if they opposed the Tigers name change – they may wish I had when they see the new mascot, which is decidedly child unfriendly.” Allam hopes to make Hull more marketable, removing ‘City’ from their name so the team currently lying 13th in the league with Tom Huddlestone in their side isn’t confused with title contenders Manchester City. Supporters have opposed the move, arguing that a multimillionaire was not allowed to rename something they love just because he owns it. Allam responded by renaming his family mansion ‘Dr Pisswicket’s House Of Pancakes’ and his Rolls Royce ‘The Egret Of Solitude’. He said: “If this doesn’t work I’ll start renaming the staff and we’ll see how Steve Bruce likes being called SausageNose Titclister in meetings.” http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport...city-to-be-renamed-hull-dildoes-2014031884726
HELP BOOST OUR CAMPAIGN FUNDS - BUY A SCARF! Here at City Till We Die we don't like to rattle the collection plate that often. However, the club's announcement that it will be running a poll of season ticket holders this week requires some additional expenditure on our part, which will seriously deplete our coffers. We still have a good number of City Till We Die scarves for sale. If you don't have one yet, do please consider buying one, either online (via http://ctwdshop.com), or from one of our vendors at the match. Alternatively, if you already have a scarf, any small donation you're able to make would be very gratefully received. You can donate via Paypal using the account [email protected] Campaign funds have been used to pay for badges, leaflets, postcards and postage (a very significant expense - every time we post someone a badge or some postcards it cost us 50p!), and will now be spent on the campaigning we are planning to encourage a "No" vote in the club's ballot. Thanks, CTWD
No idea to be honest, we sold about ten sets in the first 48 hours when they went on there. The very nice chap who made them sent me a free set.
Not sure if this has been posted yet - http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/article/201314-club-statement-fa-1428865.aspx
It really is just completely ****ing mental this. Has there ever been a situation where a club is so spiteful of it's fans? He genuinely hates us, it'd be funny if it wasn't so tragic. Unbelievable that people can still defend the old **** after that statement. What the **** is he claiming they've been prejudiced on? He knows full well it won't make money and was never going to, yet he's kicking off when it falls apart on the grounds it wouldn't make money.
