Torn ligaments can be worse than a break, more painful and they can take longer to heal.
I did mine really badly in game about four or five years ago and it still gives me problems now(though I was already an old duffer who was **** at football).

Republic of Ireland international Paul McShane will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
The Hull player suffered an ankle fracture and severe ligament damage in Tuesdayâs defeat to Southampton.
The 28-year-old will have an operation on Monday and is set for six months on the sidelines.
Quoted in the Irish Daily Star, McShane said: âI am out for six months with ankle ligament injury and micro fracture of the bone. I am going for an operation next Monday and I have to get myself right as quick as I can.
âItâs very frustrating to be honest as I was feeling very good. Now I must battle back as quickly as I can.â

As a Sunderland fan - having watched him for us I would've said it'd be a bonus for you that he can;t play - but he seems to have worked his bollocks off to show how capable he is. Hope he recovers quickly. He's never going to be a Maldini but he has worked so hard on his game and concentration since we sold him that I have nothing but respect for the lad
