I can't really say too much about the game that hasn't been said. I think that Bruce summed it up perfectly. Anyway! Figueroa is doing my head in! I don't know what he's doing at times.... He keeps on thinking that he's the Hondurian Leighton Baines, giving the ball away, taking on stupid shots, losing his position high up in the field. I'm just getting a feeling that he doesn't care. I can recall 4-5 horrendous moves just from the last two games I've seen (he was close to properly focking it up against Spurs when he decided that trying to run through Soldado was a splendid idea instead of playing it safe) I fear somewhat of a minor defender crisis if McShane's injury is as bad as feared, although Rosenior and Chester should be back soon (?) Anyone else concerned about Figgy?
After reading the reports before he signed for us, I was expecting him to have the biggest impact of our new signings. Sadly, I think he has been the least effective. But I think he is having some family issues to contend with, which may explain it?
The way we play it's all geared up to go right, a lot of the time when gets it there's no ****er near him to pass it to. So he launches it. There was too much complaining last night. Meyler was getting grief, you could see his head was down when he went off and figgy. Knowing now how saints are would we really expect to get out out of the game? We've got a great honest hard working team, they need support but a lot are just criticising fir the sake of it. Bruce is **** figgys **** Meylers ****.
Hopefully Brady can get a full game in at Brighton and that will be him fixed for the left all being well. Figgy has not been on his game for a couple of months now but Brucey has limited options with Dudge still being nowhere fit.
He's had a lot of travelling with World Cup Qualifiers and had personal problems. With injuries at the moment, I don't think we can not play him. Hopefully things get sorted out properly and he gets rejuvenated soon.
Figgy started off okay, but he has been **** for the past couple of months, I think his heads not right.
Anyone notice the ad on the big screen? "Hulls best defender Graham & Rosen" Bit disrespectful to leave half of Roseniors name out, and Davies should have a nomination. But what the frig is Graham defending? A new record for sitters squandered?
Free trasfer from a team that got relegated, don't know about anyone else but I wasn't expecting him to be a Luke Shaw like revalation this year. He has been out of form and inconsistent yes, but has shown early on in the season that he is a good player, he could prob do with a rest given he's played 90 mins in all but 5 games this year, 3 of those he played over 70 mins. We can't expect all of our players to be top of their game all season, otherwise we'd be challenging for the title. Over the course of this season i've seen people slagging off the performances of virtually all of our players (except player of the season elect Curtis Davies), me included, we need to take a step back sometimes and remember where we've come from, remember that this squad of players is currently sat 13th in the league
I'm afraid Figueroa is diabolical. Said it from the start. I'd sooner see Brady play there. Huddlestone has been equally ****e for ages now as well, needs to be dropped but it seems no one dare criticise him.
southampton closed us down they were in packs and thats why we hit long to quick . southampton are a good side credit due . we ave to beat them belows us ....same old!
I get the impression that he is trying a little too hard at the moment. Best if he just takes a step back and just does the simple stuff for a while. As the saying goes ................ form is temporary, class is permanent
Yap, yap, yap go the poodles. Just over half way through our first season back in the top flight and some of you ****ers are at it already. I shudder to think how much pissing and moaning there will be on here if we do manage to stay up and establish ourselves as a solid mid-table club with little chance of winning it and endless discussions as to whether Bruce has "taken us as faras we can go..."
they were good (we helped them look great though) and they did close us down but does SB not know how they play? if anyone thought we could sit deep and frustrate a team like saints for 90 minutes then they need their head testing. last night should have been a free hit at home where we try to win the game. as soon as I saw the starting lineup I knew it was going to be a long and frustrating 90 minutes. on topic, Figgy was dreadful. left their RM tons of space and offered nothing going forward.
Figgy on his day has been a good acquisition considering he was a free transfer, however not been his day for a couple of months of now and reflects a weakness in our squad. With Dudge and Brady not being fit that we don't have anyone else to replace him other than Rosy when we play 4 at the back. Hopefully Brucey will address that in the Summer as time unfortunately seems to be running out for Dudge unless he can get on the pitch!
I don't think there's anything wrong with pointing out when a player has been ****. I fully appreciate were in a good position and most of the lads have been brilliant, but Figueroa just hasnt.
