I dont know who you're aiming this at, but hasnt Hat been the only abusive one? There's absolutely nothing wrong with pointing out a player has been performing poorly in exactly the same way there's nothing wrong with saying one has been playing well. That is not being a poodle.
Figgy was useless last night, either just hoofed it long without looking or ran with it until he lost it. Brainless.
I wouldn't say I was abusive? Just gave my opinion that Figgy looked poor from the start and Huddlestone has been just as turd for over a month. I don't see how that's abusive, or being a poodle.
Brady to left back v Brighton? See if he can still do it in that position...need to get him on the park somewhere even if it's just for his crosses
This ^^^ makes perfect sense bearing in mind Figgy's lack of form. Luke Shaw was very good last night. Like many modern FB's (Baines, Gibbs, Zabaleta, Walker) he is pretty solid defensively but going forward he's superb. Sounds a lot more like Brady than Figgy to me.
I didn't say anyone had been abusive. Just call it a pre-emptive strike. I've seen it before. This is how it starts. Fickle ****ers. As for defining the term "poodle"..... any chance of telling me where and when it originated in this context? Cos I know.
Figgy was ****e last night, and has been off his game for a couple of months now. If he has had personal issues, then that is understandable, but the squad limitations has meant he has had to play.
Figueroa should have been dropped long ago if we'd had a decent replacement available. His defensive decision making has been atrocious and yesterday it was obvious when he carried the ball forward he didn't seem to have a clue what to do with it...several times just running into a group of Saints players and losing it when we had players open. He just looks confused. Although I'd much rather see Brady play further forward he's the obvious choice to take Figueroas place if he's fit. That frees up Boyd on the LW as he has the energy to cover back. I don't see how Figueroa justifies his place. His throws are totally predictable and take forever to execute. We must have the least imaginative throw ins in the Prem.
Firstly, this crap about 'poodles' - there's nothing wrong with someone making a footballing comment on a football forum - whether you agree, feel its reactive or disagree. At least it makes a change to the name change bore-fest. Secondly (and more importantly), Figgy has been poor for past few months. He's certainly been at fault or had a hand in quite a few goals where he could've done better. On tuesday I felt if shouldn't have conceeded a corner. Huddlestone, I think a few teams have worked it out that if they pressurise him, we don't tick as well. He's quality, but may be there are parts of his game he could work on by looking to find space a little better. Those asking to drop him are very misguided, in my opinion, allow him to adapt - if he came to us as the complete CM, he'd have cost us £20-30mil. If it's really not working for him, no harm in subbing him and allowing someone else a go however.
This is probably the first time since he was at Derby that he has made this many starts. He needs a rest. Hoping he sits it out vs Brighton and comes back raring to go. How fast can hair grow by the way - did you all know his middle name is Samson?
Not sure if this is an obvious question, but who the hell are Pat Betts and Beryl Marshall? They've sponsored a player for as long as I can remember. Pat and Beryl sound like two old ladies sitting across from each other in a 70's decor kitchen, replete with plastic tablecloth, lino floor (with curled up corners), white gas oven and brown tiling throughout, possibly discussing the queue at the Post Office.
Aren't they something to do with Tiger Travel? They arrange something to do with the club, but I can't remember exactly what.
I thought they were the two old women who - bizarrely - have a slot on Radio Humberside, talking a load of old lady-related ****.
I think Figgy is a bit of a liability at present and needs resting. He gave Newcastle their second goal today.
