Why? Because I clearly put some much faith in pointless polls?? This is not an election campaign. The polls are a distraction. No one apart from the morons voting care about these sodding polls. On the brightside, this'll soon be over. I look forward to the recriminations and accusations that will be thrown around.
Things that people like to say matter, but don't: Poll - when conducted as most of those debated on here, they are only relevant in that they show people care enough to vote. They are only representative of the community they are conducted within and those have been too small to do anymore than indicate a general inclination, not a robust swing one way or another that can be taken as a significant milestone of opinion. People knowing who Hull City AFC, 'The Tigers' are - this seems to be the most popular call, at the moment, but is it, really? I travel extensively and find lots of folk who know not just who the club is, but that they are PL and have a bit of fuss going on about the name-change - their understanding of this improves week-on-week, as the media has given it more coverage. There is, I agree, a huge number of folk out there who have no knowledge or interest of football's ups and downs and don't really want any knowledge of them either - but tell me, why the hell would anyone expect them to know or care who we are. This is not even a general sport matter - it is a specific football issue and only of concern to the football following general public. Surely there can be no dispute that CTWD have been instrumental in raising the name-change profile amongst the wider football fraternity - I think folk who post on here are of that same wider football fraternity. Fan ownership - as a topic of conversation, in its general sense, it might be of interest. But as a form of counter-argument to the name-change campaign it is divisive, misleading and nonsense. It's a total non-starter under the regime of Allam, it always was and it always will be. Allam, when at the meeting, threw out a sound bite in accepting some interest on fan involvement, but rapidly withdrew it when he realised the implications. What is the point, even if allowed to, in investing in a minority stake of a tyrants empire? It's a bit like building an extension on a leased stadium, isn't it? But Allam will leave - so what? He now has us in huge debt and it is increasing. He refuses to inject more money then realises that he must. He ignores advice, so don't offer it. He lies, he deceives, he manipulates, he blackmails, but other than that, he's a good egg and we are privileged to have him as owner and Club Chairman. The club won't change - it already has; it's currently lousy, common and irrelevant.
What does the club think about 60% of the OSC being hooligans? It must be changed. I mean, what if they suddenly start pulling on George Boyd's hair when he's trying to sign a young kid's plaggy magic? They might demand money. Could be quite distressing for George. Time for a cull from the club, get the dangerous elements out.

I kinda hope AA leaves and we end up being bought by the Venkys or Tan of Cardiff. Then we can do a Wimbledon and move completely out of East Yorkshire and become a midlands team. then all you CTWD members can claim victory.
I don't think you realise that most football fans already include AA in the same bracket as the other two you mention, and if the majority of Hull City fans vote to become Hull tigers I will be gracious enough to accept the democratic outcome.
<snooze> haven't they come to pick you back up? you know you will get in trouble if you stay off the ward for too long.

M.Gothard heard a journalist on the radio saying that MK Dons were a precedent for this case. J.Greenwood explained that the ERCFA told CTWD that the rule that is in place was only introduced after that debacle and that it has never been tested. C.Cooper asked what CTWD are doing with the responses from other supporters’ trusts. We believe K.Ogram is collating some information. Action: A.Beill and F.Beill to follow up with all trusts who could not be previously contacted. Action: C.Cooper to liaise with K.Ogram on documenting the responses. Date of next meeting Provisionally Wednesday 5th February.
yawn! OK bright spark let me inform you this way.. AA can't afford to keep digging into his pockets and being a sugar daddy, so he is hoping to generate some income by rebranding the club. Whether it works or not is a different matter. If the rename isn't successful, he is going to withdraw the cash that he has ploughed in, and leave us as a shell of a club in liquidation. Now as we don't own our own ground, what is to stop Lesster's Lady Boys or Cardiffs Tan Man coming in to buy our club on the cheap and relocate us? But I guess you want to stick your head in the sand and think "all is well" I hope we actually win the FA cup and that way it will generate a **** load of cash.
Hi Patty,I think what might stop them doing this are the rules against owning two clubs in the same league system. It may be possible to wind down a club whilst preparing a takeover and relocation of another club. But the expense and sheer logistics required to pull it all off,not to mention the ****storm that it would create, probably means you'd need someone even crazier than Vincent Tan to attempt it.Not impossible I admit, just highly improbable. I'd like us to win the FA cup,not for the money, though it'll help, but because this year could be the last chance for Hull City A.F.C to make it onto any trophy.
