I am rather surprised that Chelsea has sold him to United. 4 possible reasons:

1. Mata is not thatgood and is not worth that much #offerthatcannotberefused
2. United can do a job for Chelsea in taking points from their rivals
3. Maureen is very good friends with Moyes and wants to help him.
4. Maureen is improving the United team for next year when he takes over.

1. Not a case of not that good, more a case of, wont play how Jose wants him to play. Mata is suited to a specific style of play and obviously isnt adaptable to Jose's new regime.
2. That probably has something to do with it.
3. I doubt it, Never seen anything to suggest it, in fact they have had harsh words before I am sure

City will be desperate to sell anyway. Maybe a cut price deal for both to help out our neighbours. £30million?
