Would be a good signing.
He would bring in experience as was the reason I believe Harper was brought in.
Hope his signing is more successful than that of JH.

Good signing, hopefully the start of some transfer activity. Call it blind faith if you will, but i'm not giving up hope yet on us signing Danns etc, until they sign on the dotted line for someone then we haven't missed out have we? Hopefully we'll have some good news on signings (and exiting players) in the coming weeks.

I wouldn't be too hopeful on Danns, McKenna plays same position.. looked on youtube and it showed him scoring a 40 yarder vs us in '05..

That may well be the case. I think anyone who expects us to make the top 4 or 5 is a bit deluded. I think we're in a group of 8 or 10 teams fighting for an outside shot at the play-off's.

Even if we do get shot of all our high earners, we wouldn't be able to take advantage of it until January.

the 'high-erners' slate w ill not be wiped for another season at least, but hey who meeds the Premiership. Last season was a great season to travel. Many enjoyable days out but unfortunately we have to come back to the Cooperian Morgue twice per month

with cory out wide we will need the zimmers down the middle????? Evan actually played wide right for NI earlier in the year and was awesome

Evans looked decent on the right for NI. When we signed him and people said he's a central midfielder who can also play at the back, I imagined him to be a disciplined holding player who just tackled and passed. His forward bursts and decent finishing ability have surprised me though.

I'd be more than welcome to the idea of Evans RM, but we can't have Harps in the middle with McKenna, your upsetting things there :p

We still need another midfielder, I'm not comfortable with Harper and Evans doesn't bring an awful lot. We'd still lack creativity.

Sorry lads but I really don't rate McKenna anymore. Don't get me wrong he is an excellent captain and his man mangement is second to none but his ability as a footballer has been on a rapid decline for some time. He has struggled to get into our starting eleven for a while now, but perhaps you might be able to get something more out of him?

I noticed Moussi was getting in your XI ahead of him, and to me he just looks a big useless lump. NP is the reviver of players considered to have 'passed their time', so I think we could get him to play a decent role in our team.

Alternatively, McKenna is only coming as a mate for Adebola...

Presumably he's the steady captain figure to stick in the middle of all our Man United kids, not the most exciting signing in the world, but we are lacking a bit of experience in the middle(and any signing that has a chance of keeping JH out the first XI has to be a good thing).

Apart from the very first time I saw him, every other time I've seen Moussi he's been terrible. I read that Everton are after him though!

All gone quiet on the Danns deal. Probably lost out due to his wages.
Thankfully we are no longer being held to ransom.
Get McKenna on a 2 year deal, consolidate and in 2 years McKenna can be replaced.
Will also lose our high earners/leeches then, plus our youngsters will be more experienced and we can then step up with the signings.
Job sorted.

<ok>

OK, it's not a signing to get the pulse racing but he's a decent player and it's far from a bad move from us.

Agree about Danns though, I doubt very much that he'll come but we can only wait and see.

Your right about Evans, hes a great player already and can only improve.

What about Nolan going to West Ham! We need McKenna to break some legs next season ;)
