Pearson to sign him , beating Preston .
its reported in the Daily Mirror and he comes free!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe this will start the roll.

Knocking on a bit but he has been a terrific player at this level. He'll help bring on the likes of Corry Evans.

i just wish that the signings'd get done sooner rather than later.
bored and some of these rumours often don't have much in them in the summer.~
some do admittingly but in Pearson we trust, brought in a good few players to build around.

It's on Sky now:

Skysports.com understands Hull City are poised to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Paul McKenna.

Tigers boss Nigel Pearson has lined up a deal for the former Preston man to add experience to his squad.

Forest are willing to let McKenna move on with the 33-year-old entering the final year of his contract at the City Ground.

Hull are believed to be ready to offer McKenna a two-year deal at the KC Stadium as they look to make him their next summer signing.

Talks are at an advanced stage and Hull are hoping to finalise the move early next week.

i guess this signing is ok.. especially when we've failed to land our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th choice midfielder... 6th choice down the line cant be bad.... :(

dont you just hate that phrase: "In Pearson We Trust"? I seem to remember it predecessors including the names - Brown, Duffen, Taylor, Buchanen and even Lloyd......

i see another season of 'consolidation' loomomng. well as long as we go 18 games away from home unbeaten again who cares. i think i will stop going to the Cooperian Morgue though as my home matchday experience was shot a long long time ago

Good signing, hopefully the start of some transfer activity. Call it blind faith if you will, but i'm not giving up hope yet on us signing Danns etc, until they sign on the dotted line for someone then we haven't missed out have we? Hopefully we'll have some good news on signings (and exiting players) in the coming weeks.

Not massively exciting, but sounds like the general we need in midfield. Hopefully we'll still see a more creative type come in as well and neither Harper or Evans will have to be '1st choice' CMs, if there is such a thing.

That may well be the case. I think anyone who expects us to make the top 4 or 5 is a bit deluded. I think we're in a group of 8 or 10 teams fighting for an outside shot at the play-off's.

Even if we do get shot of all our high earners, we wouldn't be able to take advantage of it until January.

Saw this yesterday, I didn't think there would be anything in it though (as about 20 names have been posted on here and CI in the past few weeks). The Mirror usually talks rubbish about Championship transfers as well, so this added to my suspicions.

Will certainly add experience to the midfield, a great passer of the ball and he can put a tackle in as well. And hopefully, if the signing comes off, James Harper will have cemented his place on the bench :emoticon-0112-wonde
