Ok now I'm even more confused. Swansea don't own their own ground, but their council does? So they're exactly the same as us? How's that benefited them? What has either the club or their council done to their ground to increase income for Swansea FC?

Oddly enough I don't know about the ownership of other clubs grounds, which is why I'm asking btw.

By co-operating with the council there are plans to increase the capacity to 32,000 if they stay up this season. I haven't time to see if the rental agreements are available but it shows what can be achieved if the club and council don't fall out. There's also the example of Manchester City (another council owned stadium). Yes I know there is a huge difference in wealth but the basic principles apply.

I do wish this obnoxious, fat, ignoramus would just keep his ****ing nose out of something that has got **** all to do with him, or he knows anything about.
Unfortunately, he is like all other politicians, he is unable to.

They built a massive shopping centre on the same site, which funded it and continues to fund it.

Swansea City are the model we should be following, they are 20% fan owned, they made a £15m profit last year and they think City is a great name.

My reading is that Brady and Co sense Allam is on the ropes nationally and internationally and getting paggered by the Press.

So they cleverly avoid helping him or offering any kind of meaningful imput, so he continues to stew.

It seems they were ultra keen to avoid a democratic debate on it.

    Same old socialist w**kers.

Big gob Geraghty can't avoid having a pop though.

Fareham has to adopt a contrary stance cos that's his remit.

    Ditto the Lib Dumbs.

    In the FA we trust.

Southampton own St Mary's and Swansea has been quoted as a great example of council/developer/supporter partnerships, but:

Well first of all our club isn't for sale at the moment so who knows what he would be interested in if we were on the market.

Also, weren't people hoping to see how much interest there'd be in a PL club for sale? But now them getting a rich owner is a negative?

We pay peppercorn rent for the KC.
Hull FC pay a fair whack.

Would they (the council), therefore, not feel much of a sting should AA decide to build his own stadium and vacate the KC?

    Is my understanding correct?

There is a very popular opinion on this forum that Hull Tigers would be a different club to Hull City AFC.

So if Mr Allam successfully changed the name to Hull Tigers, who would continue to attend football matches at the KC Stadium and who would stop until the name HCAFC was restored.

    Edit:

    Those who will stop attending:

    The Omega Man, Muffinthegoat, Black&Amber_Stripes

    Those who will continue attending:

Chazz Rheinhold, Django Cortese, Craig in Nottingham, TigerFILEY

Is the poll just on those who are members on here? If not, I will add on my wife, my City watching friend of 35 years, his son, our mate in Nottingham (not Craig!) and his 3 sons.
