Did they give any indication if they thought it was too complicated or that they feared litigation? Either way, it's a piss poor excuse from a debate programme isn't it.

Okay, to expand on that; he was a young guy who listened to, more or less, what I have above; he then said that it was problematic and that they 'really couldn't say those things'. I challenged that (surprised Dutch?), I explained that I would make my point in such a way that would be acceptable and that their time-lapse would support that; he went quiet for a short time, I carried on driving south on the A1 and I had the feeling he was referring to another. He came back fairly quickly and said thanks and that he would call me back shortly - That was the last I heard as I fought the natural urge to drive to Hull and confront Dean Windass, a Hessle Rd lad, as I am, for the massive betrayal he had publicly carried out - I now have zero respect for him. I hate liars and deceivers. :emoticon-0149-no:

I would accept Hull City and at a push Hull City Tigers

Allam submitted his application to change our name to Hull Tigers over a month ago, you thick ****ing ****. And what are you talking about, "I would accept Hull City". We already are Hull City. Are you on medication for anything, because you're definitely suffering with something.

Edit: As I said a while back, Hull City Tigers is even worse - it's the Bay City Rollers for Yorkshiremen who haven't come out yet

It's bollocks to say that the above are wrong, they are just different opinions

Adolf Hitler wasn't wrong when he said Jews were the cause of the world's problems, and deserved to be exterminated as a result. He just had a different opinion. Wait, no he didn't, he was a ****ing lunatic with serious mental health problems.

If we are already Hull City does that mean you support the dropping of AFC. Are you grooming me, pervy slag?

Our registered name is Hull City AFC. That isn't going to change and will be on the Champions League trophy if we ever win it.

Our playing name is Hull City and will be on this year's FA Cup if we win it.

If the FA agrees the change to the playing name we play as Hull Tigers but our registered name remains Hull City AFC.

Have you answered my question about the ethnic cleansing of E1, E2 and E3?

I agree, but Bruce can't remain neutral, not if he values his position as manager.

Of course he can, he has choices as we all have; this is a job for him and he doesn't need the wages. Bruce has let both himself and the industry he works in down.

whether it be for better or worse..my letter to the FA went into the post yesterday..backing the chairman....There I've come out and said it!!

I don't believe some of the posts on this thread.

Why would it increase revenues in Asia and Africa? The top PL clubs struggle to make money over there so how on earth would we? Man City have now joined the elite did they do that by spending a lot on their playing squad or changing their name?

Also surely we should try and make an impact in the country we are in? Surely we should look to exploit the marketing opportunities in the local area?

You clearly have not travelled to Asia....If the top clubs fail to make money there, why do they go there for pre-season friendlies. For the sheer hell of it?

Musing away Im afraid.

Its a false claim that only those who support CTWD would support the team
If it ends up in division 4..

There would be people on BOTH sides of the argument that still went just as there would be people on BOTH sides that vanished..

Canada Tigers view is as valid as anyone's on here as is Happy Tigers, Pearson Parks etc

No ones view is more important then anyone else's view though some seem to think it is.

Its true no one has proved a name change would bring in one penny more.

But no one has proved it won't , having an opinion is not proof .

Strange really....Mr Allams threat to walk has made me think go ahead then...Big deal.
In fact I don't care if he does **** off..... I don't like threats .

BUT as far as the name change goes I'm really not that bothered

I will support the club if its Hull City....I will support the club if its Hull Tigers.

I was at the Hull City v Scarborough game. We was bottom of division 4 with Scarborough above us.

So even some of the not that bothered types went when we was **** and still will go as long as things are OK health wise.

As omega man says its just different opinions.

I Don't think I am right or wrong....

Its just my opinion .

Very important that people are allowed to give there views without being jumped on.

CBA to trawl through 45 pages to check, but has this video from a Liverpool fan been posted before?

I got to the part where he just started being blatantly racist and gave up.

Struggle to make money in Asia have you seen the sponsorship money been brought in from Asia Even Aston Villa have Setia from here in Malaysia giving them Millions. How much do we get from Asia. Many business people who deal with my company in Asia are already more interested in the name change as the national team here are nicknamed the tigers and people will associate themselves with us if the name changes.

I hope you're prepared to be the victim of the CTWD supporters hate campaign now.

OLM is our resident expert on the far east, he says it won't work, and obviously the keen business leaders from CTWDs committee have a cunning plan to take over the club and make millions locally.

my business has been marketing uk products in Asia and the middle east for the last 10 years. They will still need to put the right marketing team in place here Cardiff have now 30 staff from the Uk working in Malaysia alone generating business and running hundreds of soccer schools promoting Cardiff ... Qpr are also pushing big out here. But if done correctly there is millions of sponsorship money to be had out here and the middle east. and for your information one of the most important things when opening any business in Asia is the name of the company.. Companys spend thousands on consulting experts on new names and how it fits in with the asian way of thinking and Feng Shui thats why basket ball is very big out here they folow the team with the name they like. It may work for Hull city but only if they employ the right people.
