Sorry PP, mean West Stand Upper,
Some of the **** I hear at the games is incredible, it's like a massive section want us to fail so they have summat to complain about.
Maybe it's up to the more positive element to get in their faces & tell them to shut the **** up, I know I've personally went at people at the match for their negative ****e.
I sit in a heavily season-carded area, & for the most part the lads around me are sound, I often find it's the 'occasional' fan that's the worst, and as a club we have a lot of these.
You can take things many ways, but there's nearly always a positive.
I'm not suggesting happy clapping, there are times when we have been utterly abstract ****e & then you can kinda understand it, but negative input from 'support' can never, ever benefit a sports team in a game where confidence & feeling comfortable is a massive factor.
Spot on Vegas about the crowds, in a way, I feel closing the third tier should be considered, lower costs to the club, policing, energy & staffing, and a better atmosphere for the lads.[/QUOTE]
...and again, I agree. I'd rather a tighter ground that generates noise and atmosphere than one that does not. I'd be more excited about coming back for home games, which are rare, and prefer going away as it's much better craic.
The prices at Sunderland are pretty competitive to be honest..However, I would like to see cheap season tickets for kids in all areas of the ground..A few of my pals are front of Premier Concourse in the middle, they were season ticket holders in the Clockstand Centre, and got 1st pick up there and have been there for nearly 15 year now. Would p*ss them off closing it. Maybe the family thing should be 1st 10 Rows around the whole Stadium, cheap as chips,
fill the place. Who knows but its the fact its priced wrong as much as anything that it isn't full.
You sure though mate, cos if they've been there since the stadium was built, they'd have been sat on the roof for 3 years.[/QUOTE
The West Stand Upper was there from the start wasn't it? I t was the North Stand Upper which came later..

Ah of course that's right, my bad, & apologies to the lad I doubted!
We've been playing a lot better away from home.. not a coincidence
Why people buy a ticket and just spend all of it moaning is ****ing beyond me
We'd be better off with a gate of 30k fans getting behind the lads than having a 40k gate with twats mixed in
I have often thought that the people who go to games and do nowt but whinge and moan at the players, are using games as some thought of therapy after suffering being henpecked at home..
