My main concern is what happens if Charlton become the feeder side? Could Yann be sent to Belgium to push for a Champions League place for example?
That's one of my concerns. I keep hearing about who we might get, but the law of averages suggests we'll have to ship out a few to the other clubs in the harem. Plus apart from Standard, these clubs are not really better than us, so their rejects are not likely to be terribly usefull. Personally, I don't want to see us as part of some sort of footballing 'magic roundabout', we need to build a team for us.
It did last season, but the level of loans didn't seem as impressive this season. And thats the second time Zola has struck out in the 2nd year of managing a team - like West Ham it went horribly wrong for him after an impressive start.
All depends?..? If I like RD's philosophy, yes, but with no word from RD yet, that's a bit hard to figure out.
Just seen Powell's video on player... Seems he's been in touch with RD, by mail and in person and he sounded positive. The meeting with fans has been postponed for February..? http://www.castrust.org/2014/01/murray-to-meet-fans-soon/ "Mr Duchatelet and his team are not expected to take full control immediately." Not sure what implications this will have, but doesn't sound like we'll hear much from him soon..?
Very disappointing to put it off until feb though, i mean getting something out their for the waiting fans, anything ! Something !
Proof of the pudding will be in the eating. Wait and see how many new players arrive in January, and from where. See if any money is spent on the pitch. See the owners reaction when we go on a losing run. Barnsley could be CP's equivalent of Parky at home to Swindon.
I'm probably living in cloud cuckoo land I know, but I want to hear a philosophy from him that shakes up the status quo... I'm not raising my hopes for that to happen with reports I've seen so far.. "He likes to sell his best players", "He's a businessman that want's to make money from football".. Oh Dear! The only official statement I can find, tells us that Murray is still on board, and that "RD wants to help the club develop on a sensible commercial basis."... That's it so far..? Taking that into account and the views/hysterics from many Belgium posters who have taken the trouble to tell us of their experiences with RD, my initial reaction is, what are so many of our fans getting excited about.? Threat of admin gone..? Loan players from SL..? Murray still around so they still get their inside knowledge..? If we're to hear from RD "soon", hope that doesn't equate to "February".
Powell said about RD: “I met with him personally last week and he has a vision and a plan for the football club and I like what I've heard... http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/powell-excited-by-takeover-11001/ Well I for one wouldn't mind hearing something about this "vision"..?
Email CP - [email protected] As it stands, I believe Slater is still there and in the same capacity. Not sure about a timeframe for when it changes - my initial thought was it was finaslised quite quickly in order to try and get bodies in during January whilst this ''handover'' takes place, but thats just my own theory.
