Not even sure a rate Ince to be honest. He is a good player playing in a team where he stands out, can't see him making the same impact in the Premier League.

Perhaps not but that's no reason to presume we should accept it. He's started almost every game for them this season, he's clearly worth a lot more to them than £750k.

I believe this is what's called "playing hardball". Good hagglers start insultingly low.

Yes, I'm sure that's not news to anyone. My point is only that we shouldn't even think about accepting it.

Of course. I would want a lot more than £2m even, but I couldn't justify keeping someone against their will, so we should try and get as much as we can out of Palace, but really all parties know it's going to be a bargain.

Doubt we'll get 2 million even though I agree he should be worth at least that. He's on loan because MP feels there's no room in the squad, and his value has only gone down to us with the emergence of JWP and/or Reed. He's a good player for below average sides... how many people will really want him other than Palace? Never really understood why we signed him last year though I was happy for Puncheon.

Someone will probably offer 1.5 million, Cortese will refuse, and next year he will go out on loan again. That seems to be the way with Saints. Doesn't make much sense but there you are.

Nah he wanted to be closer to family, this deal will happen.

He's one of the most talented young English players who's impressing in the Championship and England U21 team. If Shaw and JWP are good enough to play in the EPL, I see no reason why Ince shouldn't be able to. Maybe he won't immediately be a decisive factor, but it think he has a bright future in the game.
