Just wondering what people think now, of the sale of Sessegnon.

Obviously you all know I adored the bloke to the point of Tom Daleyism, but many constantly slated & mocked the lad, said he was a luxury, a showboater, or plain & simply a waste of space.

My feeling is that having him in there with Ki we'd be doing a lot more, I understand the decision to sell him was Di Canio's, I do wonder what ****ing idiot at the club gave that the green light.

I'm all positive today like, but I did watch us today against 10 & think a player like Sess could have made the second half a bit more comfortable.

Any thoughts?

Think you've highlighted the issue that we don't have enough threat down the middle, however, don't think Sess would be the answer, need someone more consistent for me like.

Have everybody forgotten that he was caught drink driving (again) , unlicensed and uninsured, when he should have been, at the very least, at home watching the MK Dons game on the telly! Pleased we got rid of the idiot! He was ****e at the time anyway! The money we got for him probably funded the Ki loan anyway!

He never actually twisted about being homesick though did he? It was all bollocks.

He was linked with moves every window for the simple fact he was the best player in a poor side, but hey, he always divided opinion.

I fail to see how anyone can suggest he wouldn't enhance the current midfield, but he was the 'new Kenwyne' & never stood a chance with many, who, before you start, I respect your opinion.

I did hope Giacc would do a similar job, if a little less eye catching, in fact, I still have faith that he will, but it can't be denied that we could do with a man who can run at people and occupy 2 defenders at a time, whether that be Sess, or anyone similar.

So, anyone any realistic suggestions of 'flair' players we could attract?

This, why do people believe what the read in the newspapers, the only direct quotes that I recall were Sess saying that he was happy here. Any other quotes were non attributable or from a greedy agent.

i wonder...and 'on paper' he's exactly what we're missing in the hole but he just blows hot and cold too often.

i have no idea who we could get. that's what i'm wondering, as Gus clearly has his targets lined up.

I absolutely agree BUT there are very few of his "type" of player that don't blow hot and cold and cost less than 20m

I live the bloke. Mist talented footballer I've seen at the club. I think having a selection from him, giaccherini, kids, borini, Johnson. Three if them to rotate in the attacking midfield three (well 2 as ki starts every game) would be excellent. He's a lot like cattermole in that those who like him see the good he's trying to do but those who don't only see the bad. I'm pro Sessegnon personally

Edit: As well as "living" him I also love him!! Not I'm a sexual way though

the trouble was when he played for us he was rarely dropped as we didn't have the rotation we have now.he would be better with us fighting for a start.

Catts-Ki
Giacc-Sess-Borini

The above is what we need.

My big problem with Sess is end product, he does not score or create enough but under Gus he might just come good. He is not getting a game at West Brom currently so maybe a loan till the end of the season?

We need another creative player in the side.

Exactly. He's the opposite to what we need. We need a player who'll dictate play further up the pitch

It's not just the newspapers for me, it was his face pulling and attitude on the pitch in games he didn't fancy.

The media just confirmed what I already thought.

Smug, I've never known a player playing for us who polarised supporters views as much as Sess. I sit with my brother in law who said very similar things to you and others on here. I watched the same game and saw a player who covered every blade of grass when he was playing in the hole (not talking about when we played him out wide), a player who the opposition doubled up on him because of the threat he presented and a player who brought others into the game through creating space for them to run into, the only thing he lacked in my view was his finishing and a bit of height.

Having said all of that, I can see why people disagree with me and can respect that, I just think we are never going to sign a Jesus quality of player and Sess was our quality of player.
