Most of the debate on the name change is on this forum because this is where the few public supporters of Hull Tigers is. Most of the important chatter as you call it doesn't come anywhere near this board. The campaign has a strategy which we are sticking to. The two marches were a long time ago.

We have effected reality and will continue to do so.

Good luck comrade.

I echo the Tigers2008 post, my father was a staunch 'Tigers' supporter and I can't ever remember him referring to them as City it was always the Tigers. He first took me to see his idols in 1950 and I have been a Tigers supporter ever since, it is only in relatively recent times that people have referred to them as City!
His wish was to visit Highbury one day and see the Tigers beat the Gunners, how lucky are we to be supporting them in the position that they are in today which if you think carefully about this is down the Allams.

You are joking right !! I've been going to watch City for the best part of 50 years, I've always said I'm going to City, I can certainly say I've never said I'm going to watch Hull (why would I as I lived there) & I have never said I'm going to watch the Tigers

The only way we will make money away from Hull is to win the Premier League and the Champions league, Man Utd and Liverpool are the massive earners, Chelsea less so and Arsenal even though they have never been Champions league winners have such history pull a few quid in.

Dr ( pah ) Allem is deluded if he thinks we will sell shirts if we change our name, he's like a soft kid threatening to take his ball home if we don't play his way, short names to him equate success, yet Hull Tigers as we know is longer than Hull City, which has the same letters as Coca Cola who sell the best cola, that's why they make the most money.

Someone tell him the only thing that brings in cash is a great product and in football that is winning trophies, not your frigging name.

Yes but it still isn't a maelstrom. It isn't even an e-mailstrom because most of the chatter is in this talking shop and doesn't effect reality at all.

A great deal of the chatter is yours; you start threads with the sole intention of creating argument and being provocative. You answer too quick and to often for your point to have impact. If the anti-name-change campaign is so wrong and so ineffectual, why do you pursue it with such boring, endless repetition - it's not one thread or one night, it's incessant. Their stance is not offensive, is it?

I expect it from the miliner, but come on, Craig, step back for a while. :emoticon-0149-no:

i found a newspaper clipping printed in a book from the record win against carlisle and that refers to 'city' in the headline. 1939 that was!

Out of my last 15 threads 2 have been about Allam / the name change (check if you want).
A lot of people bow down to the bully boy tactics adopted on here and say nothing. I don't and that's probably why you've noticed more of my posts.
You might not believe me, but I find the organised brow-beating on here more offensive than anything to do with changing or keeping the existing name and like yourself I reserve the right to give my opinion.

Same here. In my 42 years of supporting the club it's always been "Who are City playing next week?" or "are City at home in the Cup?". It was never The Tigers and certainly never Hull.

The only time Tigers was used was in chants.

Sorry mate, I’ve been misreading you.

I thought that you were simply gullibly swallowing anything that Allam told you whilst simultaneously trying to subvert a legitimate protest by those who actually give a **** about things like common sense, principles and heritage.

Whereas, in actual fact, you’re really a champion of the everyman: undertaking a noble and righteous crusade as a bulwark against the bullies.

This is the only forum where a shrill little group appear to not mind our name being changed.

I've still to work out whether it's their well-organised little wind up.

Surely no one would be so spineless as to accept the name change?

What next?

'You can have Premier League football but your daughter gets pumped and spit roasted at the Cottingham training ground?'
Well **** off then no one wants you here. Your the cancer on this club you racist sexist homophobic **** **** off

I'm not bothered if we change the name

But that doesn't make me pro Hull Tigers.

If there was a pass holder vote I would vote to keep the name Hull City.

It's just not such a big deal to me in the scheme of life..

I do think the Allams are great owners and would rather we kept them, name change or not .

Some of the insults been lobbed at the owner really piss me off .

Right or wrong I'm sure he thinks he is doing what he thinks is best for the club.

Roll on 3 pm on Saturday ....

By far the largest group on this forum do not post. I've noticed that the approach adopted by CTWD supporters, as described by Chazz, is starting to provoke a few of these to come out and post their support of Dr Allam, so thanks, carry on the way you are and you'll be having a lovely end of campaign piss up on the money you've got left sooner than you think.

Right or wrong I'm sure he thinks he is doing what he thinks is best for the club.

I don't believe that even he thinks it is the best thing for the club.

He is bitter and holds a grudge.

It's an enormous hissy fit.

Shame his contempt for the fans has become so evident as a result.

I now hold him in contempt.

And yet your username is Tiger. Strangely I do the same. I've always said I'm going to watch City, yet I use Tyger as my username. I don't know what that proves, but it does show how people regard the various permutations of the name differently.

Okay, I apologise if I misrepresented you there, it wasn't intentional.

I believe you, but I think your point would be better made with less frequency as it is piggy-backed by the seriously troubled posters whose whole purpose is wnd-up and trolling.give it a try and allow the board to find a level. <ok>

You're a flaccid willy.

Iv always said I support City if in Hull , sometimes the Tigers

Or Hull City if outside of Hull.

Never ever said Hull City afc.

Does anyone ?

It's not what you've got but how you use it <ok>

That usually means the girls call you Minnow and you spend your time talking about it; oh well . . . now who do we know???

Small head/helmet, try this Mr Hat.
