You would be in a tiny minority if the option was to be a non-league side as Hull City or Premier League as Hull Tigers. My point about Bruce was not fixed to Crystal Palace, as you very well know. Lets say Norwich instead if you prefer. It won't make any difference to you, you'll be watching Alfreton town wherever he goes.
He came in and saved the club, we're all very grateful, now he's doing something very stupid and we're all a lot less grateful, that's what happens when you do daft things.
That's pretty subjective. Not everyone thinks he's doing something very stupid, and not everyone is a lot less grateful. I can understand his irritation actually, the deal seems to be he pays all the bills, and you make all the decisions. Maybe if both sides could be a little bit less entrenched in their attitudes and a little bit less personal in their abuse and criticism we could achieve a compromise that would satisfy everyone.
If he could do an interview without being completely belligerent and obnoxious towards the fans of the club, he might be getting an easier ride. You can't call the club name 'lousy', then tell everyone 'nobody tells me what to do' when he claims to have bought the club for the fans in the first place. He's going to be the architect of his own downfall and it's so unnecessary and disappointing.
I don't deny all you say about his interview, but look at the way he has been lambasted on here - before the interview- and the levels of personal abuse he has been subjected to. There is a long history, on this board, of name calling rather than reasoned argument. If you've just pumped £66million in that probably pisses you off a little bit. Could even make you belligerent in an interview don't you think?
Erm, yes, this is the point that I was trying to make over the last few days, especially in regard to one specific PLT post, you probably know the one!
Maybe, maybe. However, most fans who are hostile to AA seem to be reacting to his lying and broken assurances.
Yes, but again you are using deliberately emotive words to cause offence. On another thread someone said AA had said City was Common and Vulgar. In fact he said common and irrelevant, do I call the poster a liar, or mistaken? If it was a mistake, then so what? We all make mistakes. If I call them a liar that is pretty offensive.
There has been a very small amount of unnecessary name-calling towards AA, on these threads or anywhere else; there has been a great deal of accurate and well deserved description of his character and manner. But , what if, was the question; the answer is, business as usual. Our name will change, AA will ignore the support, he will find other ways to bring his idea of business-nonsense to the club, he will continue to work towards stadium ownership and feathering his family nest. Nothing will change because he has painted himself into a corner with very few or no mates. He won't care, because he will tell everyone else it is them that are wrong, irrelevant, lousy and common.
TygerTyger , you are acting like Dr Allam reads this site or something ( or even cares what fans think )
I have given you the benefit of the doubt, but with this post you have removed that doubt; you are a fool, there is no need to prove it further. Read all of his comments and snide remarks made are different times and dates, under no duress and tell me again this arrogant man is simply making mistakes. Sort yourself out.
I'm impressed that you think I (or anyone else) gives a toss about your views. I don't need the benefit of your doubt. You are an egotistical half wit who thinks anyone with opposing views to yours is wrong. Your offensive personal attacks are the Allams biggest recruiters. Grow up fool.
My point is we need him on our side, not against us. If you want to reach compromise then calling him a liar is not going to help. If he takes offense (as he now seems to be doing) he will act to spite the fans, not to bend to their wishes. Good luck in attempting to change his mind once you've angered him.
But he actually is a liar. I know this because he lies. If he doesn't want to be called a liar he needs to stop publicly lying. Seriously how, after he promised to do his research followed by consultation, then admitted within 2 weeks that it was a lie, can you post this criticising the idea of calling him a liar? How can anyone argue now after what he's said that he isn't a liar?
Worst case scenario, he decides to withdraw his support & tries to liquidate his assets. This would force the club into administration and result in hiim losing around £50 million . This would leave Hull City AFC with a 10 point deduction sitting at the bottom of the Premiership but an attractive proposition for a new buyer as a club with no debts
