So what if....Mr Allam says, bugger it, I don't need this anymore, and pulls his support. He writes off his investment and walks away. What contingency do we have? Clearly his asset and capital support is significant and realistically the only way he will get some of his cash back is through a sale. However, if that doesn't come to fruition...would he liquidate or who else is there with both the interest and the pockets?
Just mentioned this in another thread as the thought had crossed my mind. I'm more than a little worried of him liquidating or something similar, selling a bunch of players in January, getting his money, and leaving.
.....We play Accrington in the 1st round of the cup in November 2015, then at home the following week in front of 5,236 None of who contains those "protesting" at the moment.
If AA were to write off the £66m he was owed and walk away, we'd instantly become the most successful team(financially) in the Premier League, but he won't do that. If he wants to call in his loans, he'll get back about 30p in the pound(at best) and we'll be a bit screwed, but he won't do that either. He's paid £66m for a club that's worth about £20m, that means he either makes it successful, or he writes off about £40m. We really do need to stay up.
If he does get pissed off and want out his best bet would be to secure us in the premier league for next season and then to sell. But the question is to who?
What you mean people like me, who was at the games with our lowest ever league attendance and lowest ever competitive match attendance? Where you there?
He was asking if you, like him, were there the last time we were getting poor crowds and desperate for support. From your answer it would appear the answer is no.
You made a superior comment suggesting people who are in the protest group won't be there when / if we tumble down the leagues again but you yourself are a "true fan". So it was actually you who started that and I challenged you to back it up. FACT.
I think it's more likely that he simply won't invest any more. So the striker we've been promised in Jan won't happen, and Steve Bruce will be poached by Palace along with Aluko and Davies and Huddlestone. Then you'll know who to blame. If my options are Hull City Tigers (in The Premiership) or Hull City AFC (in Liquidation) I know which I would take. No doubt others feel differently.
He'd be cutting his own throat allowing those four to leave, it would mean almost certain relegation, and he isn't gonna let that happen if he can help it
They arent options. He isnt suggesting Hull City Tigers as a name and, if Im being picky, then The Premiership doesnt exist. I'd personally choose Hull City in non-league every time. And I doubt Bruce would be welcomed back at Palace, they hate him for what he did.
He is worth enough money to liquidate the club and take the financial hit. For two reasons. His pride..... he is a proud man who will only take enough of being told he is a liar and an idiot. He is also bloody minded enough to do it to get back a people who have thwoated him and pissed him off.
