A **** I know from Shetland has Sinn Fein tattoo'd on his back. I did ask him if he ever got into **** for it but he says no one cares.

Seems like your argument is ****e, as always <ok>

You knowing some eejit from Shetland with A SF tattoo on his back has exactly what to do with what we are talking about?

Why are you asking me you cretin?

Read this and try and digest it:

The Army and police are investigating complaints of offensive chanting by members of the armed forces at a Rangers match at Ibrox. The club hosted an Armed Forces Day event at their home match with Stenhousemuir on Saturday.

The allegations arose after videos by fans posted on social networking site YouTube appeared to show soldiers in uniform interacting with fans while singing about proscribed loyalist organisations. It also contained chants against IRA paramilitary Bobby Sands who died in a hunger strike in HM Prison Maze in County Down, Northern Ireland in 1981.

Because you mentioned it.

<laugh>

They sang fathers advice?

About a soldier going off to fight in war.

<laugh>

Or was it that some of them might have said "**** Bobby Sands, he's deid!"

A criminal and terrorist who killed himself.

Yeah, I'm trying to see how Rangers will recover from this.

You ****ing mug!

<laugh>

No it's not.

Talking about fighting in WW1, the UVF were the 36th ulster division and the YCV were the youth group.

Nothing to do with modern day terrorists.

Really ?

I'd say Bobby Sands would be classed as a modern day terrorist . Wouldn't you ?

I could've predicted you'd say that and it's absolute hogshite.

I specifically pointed out the "post 72 YCV". I believe this is also the same argument used in reverse whenever anyone sings about the IRA.

Now, if I was singing about a guy joining a brigade fighting Kaiser Willhelm, why would I include a shouty line about a guy being deid who wasn't even born then?

Clearly those who shout that line believe the song to be about a later version of the YCV?

In fact, the lyrics of the song make it obvious that it isn't about going to fight in France.

It specifically mentions fighting "Rebels" which at no point were the post Austro-Hungarian Germannic Imperial troops ever described as such.

Said a father to his son
"Oh my boy the time has come"
Your country it is calling unto thee
For those rebels once again
To unite us is their aim
And together we must stand to keep her free

Chorus:

Remember, our fathers brave and bold
As they fought for Ulsters cause in far off lands
Oh my father said to me "I must join the Y.C.V"
With a rifle or a pistol in my hand

From Belfast to Armagh
Carade to old Crossgar
From Ballymena to old Omagh town
With their standards flying high
As it was in days gone by
We will rally round the flag for liberty

^^
If you genuinely think that's about the first world war, you're even stupider than you normally make out.

That's the same argument that's made when people say they are singing about the Old IRA and not the Modern day version <laugh>

Keep ulster Protestant!?!

Considering it isn't even half prod at the moment I would say no, not sectarian just factually incorrect.

Really ?

I was of course referring to the YCV that you mentioned.

And yes Sands is a "modern day" terrorist but cheering about him being dead is not sectarian.

Nope it's not. The old UVF never fired a shot in anger, until WW1.

The old IRA were engaged in a sectarian murder campaign.

This cannot pass without comment.

Is that genuinely the history you've been taught?

Why did they smuggle German guns?

Why did they have to leave the "Ulster Volunteers" to join the war (36th division and all that)?

Why were the British Army brought in to deal "with the UVF threat"?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulster_Volunteers

Meanwhile, you actually believe that the Republican Army were carrying out "a sectarian murder campaign".

You, son, are ****ed in the head.

It's not your fault, though. Whoever dragged you up ****ed it up.

Right then here's the thing .

I am a Rangers supporter . I support my team who are Scottish first and foremost . It really pisses me off that my club have spent decades encouraging Irish bigotry alongside their East end pals .

The Old Firm have and still are coining it in thanks to bigotry hatred and stupidity . I want nothing to do with Northern Ireland or any of it's mental history and I want my club to be the same . Unfortunately that will never happen as long as a good percentage of our support are there to kick the pope and watch the football as long as it doesn't interfere with their spouting their bigoted ****e .

All the ****s in Scotland who care more about what happened in Ireland in a far gone age can go **** off to Ireland and leave us in peace .
It's the 21st century . The Battle of the Boyne , the famine , the uprising and the troubles are over .

Why don't you .......**** off

It'll dawn sooner or later.

Feel free to post who the original UVF shot.

I have already provided evidence on the OIRA running a sectarian murder campaign.

I will be happy to provide you with the links again.

As for Aldo, you can have your opinion all you want, but mocking the death of a dead terrorist is not sectarian.
