In hindsight I suppose joining the crowd and actively singing the various songs was not necessary while donning the uniform. They are ambassadors for the armed forces in such circumstances and should have maintained a professional approach.
It's a good thing that the critics of this unfortunate event are so understanding and will forgive and forget in an instance for the greater good.![]()
The point I have been making all along, however, as I also said, it was wholly predictable that something like this would happen. No one would be daft enough to suggest letting troops march around Celtic Park, anyone with any sense could tell you the outcome and likewise that was always going to be a tawdry jamboree which would be highjacked by morons.
I don't blame the individual soldiers, sailors and airmen, I blame the Top Brass for allowing this shambolic display.
