I think that we ALL can agree, the only way that we will attract success, is to be successful on the pitch.
an asian businessman is not gonna go "ooh tiger - invest!"
they only want to invest in a major team in PL that has had success.
I agree.

I am not a successful businessman, IF I could answer that question - Id be rich.
Now let me ask you a question, apart from emotive reasons, what justifiable reason do you have for believing that the name change will be detrimental to Hull City?
All fair comment, but I'm interested in what benefits people say the name change will bring. I'd expected it to be a simple question.
For me Hull City Tigers is no more than a preference. I don't know if the name change will ever assist the club financially, those things are best left to the experts, but Hull City Tigers definitely has more teeth than Hull City AFC.

From where I sit the opposition seems to be getting stronger.
I see you haven't answered my question. I'll rephrase it, if we become Hull Tigers or Hull City Tigers what do you think our new nickname should be?
The chairman didn't wait for the 'experts' before running with Hull Tigers. (Hull City Tigers is simply not an option according to the Chairman)
May I refer you to post#22
This is too easily discounted; a simple point but a very good one.
As for having to produce evidence of what a name change will produce, surely that's just being selective in an argument. I would like to see (honest) any evidence that can support either pole of the argument for a newly promoted, reasonably secure, PL club to change it's name; are there any precedents? I don't like it, but at the end of the day the owner has a hunch and he is backing it and I nothing to show that will factually say he is wrong - has anyone on here? (other than opinion, that is)
I expected something from those making negative comments about the protests.
Surely somebody out there can offer a positive benefit of the change?
I know of some long standing fans who WILL stop going if the name change goes ahead. I guess some could see that as a potential benefit?
So you're gambling. What evidence are you backing your opinion with? Ever had business dealings with him?

I can't factually prove that there is no such thing as ghosts, but there isn't.

I have skipped a lot of threads on this is cos most on this topic is filled with emotive bullshit.
I am not sure people can offer that just in the same vein as those that want it to remain the same, can offer any reason for that too.
the long standing fans that will stop going cant be REAL fans then, because if they stop going cos of a name change are just as fickle as those that only support us through the successful times.
The club will still exist, I will always support them, no matter what happens to them.
No and I imagine you haven't either.
The point is he's gambling. A businessman won't sit back and watch sales figures plummet even if he is stubborn, but the protesters aren't using this most effective weapon effectively.
You're disorganised and that makes you of little threat to his plans.
