It's the second largest transfer in british transfer history behind only Chelsea buying Torres for £50m.... Absolutely phenomenal that Arsenal have managed to pull off this transfer. Even me the eternal optimist wouldn't have thought we could land Ozil.....
I can understand the point that there are still a few players needed, but considering how the last 36 hours have played out the sentiment is as welcome as a turd in a hot tub.

Monumental that we spent £40 million plus on one player, never conceived we'd be doing that in all honesty!
I think we should try Walcott upfront. Cover for Cazorla is required...hence Ozil makes sense..gives us depth in the creative section. Plus, there's always January for someone like Suarez (who won't be cuptied in Champions league)
Going to be a bit of a culture shock for Ozil. Goes from playing with crap like Ronaldo and Benzema to world class talent like Ramsey and Giroud.
I shall be going to Ozil's home debut and I don't give a **** about any childish protests and I shall be buying a pint, pie and programme
Also given the lack of signings outside the one marquee...I'm glad we got Flamini. Should allow Ozil to roam forward more freely. I still thin we sshould go all out for Suarez in January.
Funny window for us. We went right to the wire and signed the player of the transfer window, smashing our record by a large margin, yet we are short in the squad department. I won't think about that too much and let the management deal with these woes should they appear. I'll enjoy our new signing Ozil, he will give us many hours of entertainment. No matter what, we will be a whole lot more attacking hence forth. Good night Gents and have happy dreams
I just think it hasn't fixed all our issues. Our squad is still frightfully thin, we still need a better striker etc.
It may well be worth going in for Suarez come January, especially as he won't be cup tied for the CL.
Man Utd have learnt what it's like to have an incompetent buffoon for a CEO. We have Gazidis, they have Woodward. I don't care how bad Woodward is, he can't be worse than Gazidis.
