So what's so bad with what I'm saying? Do you think Q's should be asked? Or does the signing of Ozil alone make up for everything?
That's a fair shout, easy to forget the versatility of the player. I'm 50/50 on Flamini but I have to say that if we'd signed him after the Ozil deal I and no doubt countless others would have viewed the deal more positively, in this day and age quality free agents just don't exist, maybe we go ridiculously lucky. Didn't W Ham pass on him before we signed him ?
Do you think Q's should be asked? As you said would be the case if the proper business wasn't done, which by your statements, we can see that that is the case as you admit we still need 2 more players.
Lol, any excuse to bring up your god. Strange to see what's happening at Utd, you'd have to assume that Fergie has played a major role in negotiating and persuading players to join them
I want to echo what Wenger has stated several times in the past, $$ is not equal to quality. Chesney will be our first choice keep. He has looked as good as most top keeps this season; we now have backup and competition for him. And I too, felt wary about Flamini being our DM cover. But after watching again the match with Spurs and concentrating on Flamini, he did do an impressive job at holding his area, marshalling defenders, and screening the back 4. He acted much more disciplined in the DM role than Song. He also did well transferring the ball to the attacking players. We all know after last season that Arteta does all this very well, too, for Arsenal . Between Arteta, Flamini, Ramsey and Wilshere, I feel comfortable with our DM situation. Wenger's DM are never pure destroyers, anyhow, they are more like Harrier Jets --dual role attackers/destroyers. With that in mind, and the fact that Bould and Wenger have strengthened our defensive shape, my worries about the D have eased. As far as a world class striker goes, we all would've liked to have seen that happen. I'm not convinced Higuain or Jovetic fit that description, though. Suarez does, but my relief that we didn't buy him is equal to what my joy would have been if we had. The man is a walking paradox. Giroud, Poldi, and Walcott can all score: Arsenal has always been built around mobility and creativity from the mid-field. Once Suarez left the building, Ozil became a masterstroke. We may not contend for a title, yet, but we are better off today not only on the pitch, but in the public eye (including with potential targets for the future). If Giroud stays in form, we could very well challenge. Let's keep in mind, too, that Giroud has the best song in football. It's good to sing.
We all know that the squads still light but Ozil is a lot more than we were expecting, just enjoy it for now
I agree with needing a CB cover and a Striker but that can wait, our players are versatile. Now that I've got that out the way. HOLY ****ING ****!!!!!! MESUT OZIL IS AN ARSENAL PLAYER!!!!!!! HE'S IN THE TOP 10 CURRENT FOOTBALLERS IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Flamini is a 3rd or 4th choice LB or a 3rd choice RB. He is probably a 4th or 5th choice DM. After the international break we have 4 CBs. A few weeks later we have Podolski back, so Sanogo is 3rd choice CF. Are our chances damaged so severely because our 3rd choice players are not as good as you think they should be? C'mon, be sensible here.
