If before the season started I said for DMF we'd sign Flamini, and for striker we'd sign Sanogo, most on here would tell me to **** right off, and that those aren't the type of signings to usher in a new era and a big statement of intent, so let's not play games please, and already go into damage limitation mode now by mentioning Flamini and Sanogo.
Ozil said: “I am thrilled to be joining a club of the stature of Arsenal and am looking forward to playing in the Premier League. It will be great for my own personal development as a player and I am particularly looking forward to working with Arsène Wenger. “From our negotiations it is clear the Club has huge ambition and I look forward to being part of an exciting future.”
For why do we need a defender? Why do we keep talking about our injured players like they are dead and buried?
Weren't we supposed to business now? So let me guess, you've set up a new criteria, judge us now by our January dealings, lol, come January, you'll be like judge us by the summer transfer window, there's always something with you.
Those quotes from Ozil are crucial, until today all we've heard is how he wanted to stay in Madrid and had no interest in England. Massive statements from the player and guarantees immediate legendary status
We somehow get a World Class player and you're still moaning. BTW Wenger reckons Verm will be back after internationals. Granted we're light on strike options but its still looking promising.
and hopefully sends out a positive message for other big names to join us over the next 12 months, sign of things to come hopefully.
This ****e manure team will be out of Europe by January, so we can bribe Moe to part with the Dutchman
Ozil's comments are fantastic. Shows he thinks the club are going in the right direction, shows he was convinced due to Wenger being our manager. And he sounds like he is ready to go. Love it!
Hey, it's all good if we're out of options and have to play him there, but why not just buy a defender if we have the money, to add more squad depth, it wouldn't hurt us at all to have bought another defender. But look, I'd be more than content to look over that if we had signed a striker, if we got a striker, I would've been fully content and said move in January, but 2 positions have now been left open without a fix.
Anyways, all I'll say is thank **** we're not in United's position, I'd throw myself off a bridge if we were United.
I say in January when Utd have dropped from the top 4 and are having a tragic liverpool-esque season we jump in and take RVP back off there hands..
We do, another DF and a CF. But we do have some options in those positions until we can sign some more players, who now we have Ozil, we'll be able to attract more top quality players. In the meantime, Giroud is not a bad target man.
