Speaking of central midfielders, do we really need another one? I certainly don't think Cabaye is any better than the options we have, is Cabaye really better than Ramsey, Arteta, and Flamini? Credit to Ramsey, his excellent performances has eased that great need we had of signing a new central midfielder, and with the addition of Flamini, I don't think the central midfield is a priority anymore, especially if it means getting Cabaye for 13-15 million since I don't think he's better or should start ahead of any of the 3 we already have.
Exciting news if true, however, we really need a striker. Not because Giroud is awful but because we have absolutely no depth in that position and if we don't sign a striker, knowing our luck due to an injury or suspension we'll have Sanogo up front until Christmas.
Yup, even Giroud said we should sign another striker, we don't want to be in another situation of placing too much onto the shoulders of one striker with no depth, like with RVP few seasons back.

According to MOTD we are on the verge of signing Ozil.... If this is true he will be fantastic in this team and league.

Even if Ozil comes in, it's been a shambles, to the point that Wenger has said they'll have to over-pay to get players. Ozil would be great. Without a striker, say hello to Nicky B getting appearances before Christmas.
After everything we have gone through this summer, I just can't muster up any excitement over these Ozil rumours.
