Gooner in Barcelona ‏@Gooner_In_BCN 2m Report from Marca, 6 minutes ago is that Ozil does not want to leave RM despite less playing time being apparent.
Gooner in Barcelona ‏@Gooner_In_BCN 18s Gotta love Marca. At 7:59am they put up a report saying Ozil to AFC is all but done and at 8:47am one that he doesn't want to leave.
Guillem Balague ‏@GuillemBalague 7m AFC and RM reached deal for Ozil, €45m+5 in objectives. BUT not personal terms agreed yet, lots separating AFC and player
Hmm, would my fellow goners be happy with signing a player with tremendous talent but whose heart isn't in joining us?
Graham Hunter seems to think he's waiting to see if any other offers come in, said don't rule out a late move from Utd
Its not worth listening to Marca they are renowned for fabricating rumours. Arsene needs to convince him we are worth joining, a club moving forward etc... Should get Mertesacker and Poldi on the phone too.
According to the Torygraph, we are prioritising bids for Ozil, Di Maria and Abel Hernandez. But may still make a bid for Benzema, Suarez or Rooney. With back up options in Draxler and Demba Ba So that's just about everybody then
Just popping in to say hope you lot get Ozil, certainly ahead of United. No football fan wouldn't want to see Ozil and Cazorla in the same team, however they both fit. And after this summer, frankly you deserve some fireworks before the end. PS - what do you think of Sakho? I imagine you've been linked with him a lot in the past?
The real issue would be who needs him more. After watching the Liverpool v Man u game, it ws quite apparent that they were missing a creative midfielder. As we all know they've been desperately after Fabs all summer and with Ozil up for grabs, you can see them trying to sign him instead. Wsaying that, Arsenal could really kick on with a world class player like Ozil. We would start becoming the Arsenal that teams fear again.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ozil went to Man Utd and I wouldn't blame him to be honest. If I were in his shoes, going to Man Utd would make more sense for many reasons.
It depends on how the negotiating process works. Remember we are talking about Arsene Wenger here. I still think that we are a very desirable place to come to if he makes a good case to Ozil. If we show that we are being ambitious, then he would considering coming to us. But the big question is whether we can convince top players of this. Players still desire to play under the management of Wenger.
Ben Smith, BBC Sport "Manchester United are definitely not in for Mesut Ozil. The Premier League champions are, however, working hard to sign Everton's Marouane Fellaini and Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera."
